Though the chaotic phase of the NFL’s 2017 Free Agency period has come and gone, there are still players who are signing deals as restricted free agents and exclusive rights free agents.

For the Buccaneers, the team announced on Monday that all five of their exclusive rights free agents have re-signed and will return for 2017.

The five players who signed their exclusive rights tenders were TE Cameron Brate, WR Adam Humphries, CB Jude Adjei-Barimah, LB Ardarius Glanton and WR Freddie Martino.

Additionally, QB Ryan Griffin signed a one-year tender as a restricted free agent. The only restricted free agent who remains unsigned is DE Jacquies Smith, who was brought in by the 49ers last month. He has until April 21st to sign a qualifying offer.

This is great news! Both these guys are fun to watch and I’m glad they’re Bucs for the forseeable future!

I’m also really happy Jude is back! Now the Bucs just have to get Jacquies Smith to sign his offer!

Brate, Humphries and Jude are “major” assets for the Bucs and seeing them come back in 2017 is good news. The Bucs can continue to build around young and talented players like this and the up-coming draft will continue to build this team into a playoff caliber team for years to com.

Great news on all fronts, specifically Brate and Humphries, but also Adjei-Barimah and Freddie Martino. Getting excited for the schedule release, likely this Thursday!

I was hoping Brate and Humphries would be signing 2-3 year contracts. They have proven their worth.

Jacquies Smith is no doubt waiting to see if the 49ers give him an offer but if they haven’t done so by now time is certainly running out.
At the same time, if the Bucs had offered him a million more, if the 49ers had signed him, the Bucs would be owed a second round pick.
As it is, the only recourse the Bucs have now is to sign him for what the other team offers to pay him or wave goodbye.
