The Bucs re-signed safety Andrew Adams to a one-year, $1.01 million deal on Sunday, per Greg Auman of The Athletic.

Adams has been a mid-season addition to the Bucs’ roster the past two seasons, brought in following injuries to the safety position, while totaling 15 starts in 27 games, 84 tackles, five interceptions and three tackles for loss.

Should Justin Evans’ injury continue to delay his return without a starting replacement added, Adams could continue to see consistent time at the free safety position in Todd Bowles’ defense.

  2. He certainly performed for us when given the chance. He’s a play-maker.

  4. I liked him ever since he came in out of the parking lot and nabbed like 3 INTs in the few games he was here in 2018. If nothing else he knows the system and gives us depth. Arians didn’t sound too excited about him after last year but he seems to have a knack for finding the balk in his hands so hopefully he plays even better this year.

  5. Good depth but the elephant in the room as far as i am concerned is Suh. Not a word about an important part of our D-Line.

  6. I think no news on Suh may be good news. I’ve not heard him linked to any other team. I think both he and Bucs want him back. They’re doing the salary dance right now. I think it happens pre draft.

    Go Bucs!

  7. This is awesome!

Bucs just need a vet DT, vet RB and a vet WR and they are good to go for the draft. Re-signing Suh would be huge so we shall see what happens.

  8. Good news! Hey Taylor, why no news on WR Breshad or DT Suh? What r u hearing? I haven’t heard that they signed elsewhere. Perhaps Brady will/could call them personally? Let us know if u have heard anything please. Thanks!

  9. Suh is getting older. He likes this staff and his teammates. He’s an important leader on this team and a veteran voice we need. I wouldn’t think he’d want to go to a new team, learn a new system and be under pressure to produce as “the leader” when he can just be part of a productive line that doesn’t single just HIM out when he has talent all around him. Seems like an easy call to this fan. Why uproot? Just resign here with Brady and be done with it!

You’ve got that right! Not a mention anywhere that I’ve checked in the last few days.

  11. I was disappointed when they didn’t resign Adams last year. I think the hybrid LB/DB Arians brought over from the Cardinals was supposed to replace him but didn’t and the Bucs cut him and brought back Adams.
The guy is a solid player and I liked his attitude when he said, “when the balls in the air, it’s anyone’s.”
