PewterReport.com has learned that Bucs wide receiver Mike Evans and rookie inside linebacker Devin White will play on Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers in the 2019 season opener despite being sick towards the end of last week. Evans missed Friday’s practice with an illness, and White, who was the team’s first-round pick this year, missed Saturday’s walk through with an illness – although not the same illness that Evans had.
PewterReport.com received the good news on Saturday afternoon and full confirmation from a source on Sunday morning.
I’m hearing that #GoBucs are expecting BOTH WR Mike Evans and ILB Devin White to play tomorrow – despite dealing with an illness.

How much or how well both White and Evans play won’t be known until game time, but both are expected to start. Temperature at kickoff are supposed to be 92 degrees under sunny skies with a “feels like” temperature at or over 100 degrees. Hydration could be an issue during the game for both Evans and White.
The only two Buccaneers that will not play against the 49ers are free safety Justin Evans (foot) and backup quarterback Blaine Gabbert (shoulder).
