ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers traded a sixth-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft to Arizona for the rights to former Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians, who was still under contract despite retiring after the 2017 season. In addition to securing the rights to Arians, the Bucs will receive the Cardinals’ seventh-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
So the deal is: the Buccaneers get Bruce Arians’ rights and Arizona’s 2019 7th-round pick in return for the Buccaneers’ 2019 sixth-round pick, per source.

Originally, the league ruled that no compensation was needed for the Bucs to sign Arians, but Arizona argued with the NFL that the Cardinals still held Arians’ rights because he was not fired.
