Adam Slivon has his Top 10 Takeaways video series on Pewter Report’s YouTube channel, PewterReportTV. These short videos on the Bucs – typically seven to nine minutes in length – offer up Slivon’s unique takes on the most recent Tampa Bay game or current events in the Bucs’ offseason with his expert insight and opinions.
Adam Slivon offers his Top 10 Takeaways detailing his five biggest questions surrounding the Bucs entering this season. While just about every NFL team and its fanbase are optimistic about a fresh start, that does not mean there are not reasons to be concerned. In going over them, Slivon details what position groups are under the most pressure to perform and how that extends to Tampa Bay’s coaching staff. It goes without saying many of the question marks surround the defense, but the offense has question marks, too.

How will the team’s run game get back on track after the way things went in 2025? Bucky Irving has yet to be cleared to practice fully, and head coach Todd Bowles recently made a comment about his status that caught attention. Even with a healthy Irving, the best course of action to maximize the talent in the room could be by more of a committee approach.
Defensively, there are obvious question marks on each level of the unit. The Bucs focused on adding talent, but how will all the pieces fit? That had Slivon’s eye for much of his video as he analyzes how the defensive line, inside linebacker, and cornerback positions will perform. For Tampa Bay to be more than just a fringe playoff team or one-and-done in the postseason, those groups have to be above average. All of that, as Slivon discusses, goes back to Bowles leading the team.
He received another shot at it, but there are no excuses after what the team did this offseason. For someone with his defensive background, that side of the ball has to get back to where it was five seasons ago and be innovative with the new talent and new coaches on his staff. This lines up as his best and last chance to turn things around and continue coaching this team for the long haul.
