J.T. Barrett | East | QB | Ohio State

A quarterback? On a Bucs watch list? Is this guy crazy? No, just throwing out what could be.

If you follow college football at all, you know who Barrett is. In his five years at Ohio State, Barrett threw for nearly 10,000 yards. Barrett accumulated more than 25 Ohio State records including most total yards in a season (3,851) and most touchdowns in a season (47) as well as most career passing yards (9,434) and completions (769). Additionally, he has several Big Ten Conference records including most career passing touchdowns (104) and total touchdowns (147) as well as he passed Drew Brees for most career offensive yards with 12,697.

At 6-foot-2, 220 pounds, Barrett may have the stats and the wins, but the consistency in how he throws the football is still too spotty for him to be a top quarterback prospect in this draft class. However, that’s okay. The Bucs don’t need to spend a high pick on a starting quarterback. With Ryan Fitzpatrick likely gone and Ryan Griffin still completely unknown for the last three years, bringing Barrett in might be a good move.

Can you image the work ethic in a quarterback room with Jameis Winston and Barrett?
