From the Tampa Bay Buccaneers communications department:

The National Football League announced on Monday that Tampa Bay Buccaneers outside linebacker Jason Pierre-Paul has been selected to the 2021 Pro Bowl team, earning his third career selection and his first with the Buccaneers.

Through Week 15, Pierre-Paul has recorded 50 tackles (six for loss), 12 quarterback hits, 9.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, four passes defensed, two interceptions and two fumble recoveries. He remains the only player in the NFL this season with 5.0-or-more sacks and multiple interceptions. His 9.5 sacks are tied for the seventh-most in the NFL this season and his four strip sacks are tied for the league lead. With his four total takeaways, Pierre-Paul ranks second among all front-seven players, while tying for fourth among that group in interceptions. He is part of a defense that ranks tied for second in tackles for loss, fourth in quarterback hits, tied for fourth in sacks and sixth in total defense.

Since being acquired by Tampa Bay via trade in 2018, Pierre-Paul ranks tied for eighth in the NFL with 30.5 sacks. During that span, he leads the team in sacks and ranks second in quarterback hits (48), tackles for loss (31), forced fumbles (seven) and strip sacks (seven).

The 2021 Pro Bowl selection is Pierre-Paul’s first since earning back-to-back trips in 2011 and 2012 as a member of the New York Giants.

Surprised a bit here. Brady is playing better than Murray. And to not have Marpet as well. Some surprises for sure. Even White missing was a bit of a surprise considering the guy who was nominated had no where near the stats and plays that white has had. Not too surprising as the Bucs have been snubbed for years. Let’s just keep winning and in January you won’t worry because they’ll be in the super bowl 😆

I’m sure many of you are NOT surprised.

Rigged! Many fraudulent votes. I call for 10 recounts! No one over age 43 has played this good before! The whole NFL system is corrupt. Their deep state is hiding the truth! Only PFF matters! Wake up!

The real crime is that David and White did not get chosen. Carlton Davis too.

I’m not surprised at all. Listen, there are 31 other teams in this league and a helluva lot of great plAYERS.Our Bucs are an above-average middle of the pack team. At times we have had a few players who have looked and played great. But not consistently. So suck it up and let’s finish running the table and head into the playoffs with some momentum. Let’s try to get past the 1st round if we can. As for Brady making the pro bowl? You gotta be kidding me. Nope, not even close this year.

Brady, Nope not even close? Lol. So outside of Rodgers and Wilson, name me 1 NFC QB that should be in over Brady? And give me a friggen break on Murray. Remember, the position in question is QB. Not RB. As a passer, it’s laughable to even try and put Murray in the same conversation as Brady. Brady should have been the 3rd QB over him without a shadow of a doubt. And I’m a huge Murray fan. But he’s still not taken that step yet as a passer

So, tell us, why didn’t Brady get in?

I would guess it’s because he’s been mediocre for a half of every game. Totally inconsistent at QB. And he’s surrounded by Pro Bowlers at skill positions. And the line has played very well.

No, he dragged down the whole operation. The line didn’t get in. The RB didn’t get in. The WR’s didn’t get in. The TE’s didn’t get in. NONE of them got in, because their QB hasn’t beaten anybody, and he forgot what down it was to END a GAME.

He didn’t get in, because it’s 2020, and Murray is the new “it QB”. Period, end of story. He’s the new L.Jackson. He’s young, flashy, dynamic runner, cannon arm. Blah blah blah. If it went by passing stats, seeing as….oh I don’t know, it is the QB position we’re talking about, Brady would have been the 3rd QB in(like he should be). Nobody gives a shit(outside of some Bucs fans maybe) about 1 half of football. They play 2 halves for a reason genius. If they only played 1 half, the Falcons would have won the SB in a blowout… Read more »

When Brady doesn’t win a popularity contest to the ProBowl, you just know it has to be Byron Leftwich’s fault. Lol.

Thankfully PFF is on board with carrying Tom Brady’s water (and jock strap) with all their made up statistics.

Too bad other deserving Bucs were passed over. Brady a factor? Nah, that’s on Leftwich also.

Brady got into the Pro Bowl in 2018 with worse stats than he has now. You talk a lot without saying anything, and then you say PFF is fake stats. It’s actually pretty impressive.

Brady would do well in the Pro Bowl if the NFC pro bowl team played against the Chargers backups and Brady only played in the 2nd half. Lol.

Better than Jameis who would do well if….oh wait he’s not capable of doing well. Ever

Bucs offensive players had more pro bowl appearances with Winston than Brady. Them’s the facts bub.

No disagreement on that fact. Totally a popularity contest.

Here’s another fact BUB, I don’t give a shit about pro bowls. Losers care about pro bowls. I care about wins. And Brady, in his first season as a Buc(at 43 years old no less) already will match or pass Winstons best season as a Buc in the W column, and has the Bucs in the playoffs(something JW isn’t capable of doing). The Pats have 3 players in the pro bowl, we have 1. Should tell you everything you need to know about the pro bowl. But sure….put stock into it, like it actually means something lol

Also, how many Heisman trophies did Brady win? National Championships? Nevermind, those don’t count since Brady didn’t win any of them.

The guess here is Brady will win just as many championships as a Buc as Garcia, McCown, Griese, or Deberg. He’ll finish his career as an NFL player in Tampa and head straight to the bay for some quality retirement fishin’.

Oh yes, Heisman trophies for QB. Like Jameis Winston? Johnny Manziel? Mariota?

Which national championship did Manziel win? I must have missed that one. Is that the one Mariota won? Wait…he didn’t win one either? Hmmm.

Who gives a f*ck about Heismans or National Championships. That’s what a loser who doesn’t have an argument brings up lol. Statistically, there isn’t a single QB in NFL history that could even hold Brady’s jock. Whether it’s passing stats, wins, playoff stats, playoff wins, SB stats, or SB wins. So when you can’t find a single bad statistic to suit your laughably biased agenda, what do you do?……..you go back 25 years ago, to the last time in Brady’s life that he wasn’t dominating the game of football( ….college football that is Lol). Good god, you’re a loser man.… Read more »

Yep, we need a clean election. We need people to monitor this process. The big city teams are stuffing the ballots boxes and many sports journalist voted to or three times. I call for a recount! The whole thing is fake. BSPN is fake and so is Roger. Fake news, fake ballots, fake cities. Really burns me up (whoops!).

Reading about people crying over Murray going over Brady, well here is the thing Bucs Fans are not aware of, Murray has 26 td’s passing and 11 rushing td’s 3,600 passing and 746 rushing now add those numbers together its not even close. Brady had Misérable games against tough competition Saints, Bears, Rams.Brady has tremendous weapons around him and while he is 43 which is amazing that age number should not be a factor for a pro bowl vote. Brady is having a good yr but mostly against bad teams like Raiders, Falcons, Panthers, Chargers etc Don’t be fooled guys

So JonnyG; the Bucs meet the Cardinals (are there even any cardinals in the desert?) in the playoffs, whose jersey you wearing?

Dave

Well I sure hope they take into account his rushing stats, because without them, he wouldn’t even be in the top 20 in voting. And as far as beating good teams, Murray is 2-3 in his 5 games against winning teams( Sea, LAR, Mia, and Buf). So let’s not pretend like the Cards dominate great teams. The Bucs have lost 5 games(Saints(2), Rams, Bears, Chiefs). 4 of those 5 games were against top 6 pass defenses in passer rating allowed( Saints, Rams, Chiefs). The Bucs are 1-4 in games against winning teams(Saints-2, Packers, Rams, Chiefs). And they lost to the… Read more »

No issues with this list. Our stars were very mediocre to below mediocre in the nationally televised games. They spoke all offseason about stepping up under lights and most didnt, Tom included. Go earn some attention and stop begging for it.

ScottC543

Fans outside of the Tampa area seldom see the Bucs play, and when the Bucs of late have been on national TV we’ve generally stunk it up. It’s no wonder people don’t think our players are better than others they’ve seen on winning teams.
When the Bucs start kicking ass in the games everyone watches we’ll get a lot more respect. Every playoff game is a talent showcase. Win a few of those and our star’s names will be on the mind of anyone discussing best in the league type players.
