Wouldn't have been surprised if Saban went into the Noles lockeroom at halftime and gave Jimbo some adjustment pointers. Guess what, I couldn't give a shlt less because.........FSU = 2013 Nat'l Champs!!!!!Nice run, Auburn, but this was the Noles year. In 5 years, who in the f'ck will care that FSU may have had a weak ACC schedule when they won the 'ship in 2013? Answer is simple: Not ONE f'in soul!
Amen... Order in the CFB universe is restored! What a wonderful off season it will be... :)

This isn't an Ohio State situation, where the team played a weak-ass schedule and barely won most of those games. FSU did play a weak schedule, but they dominated their opponents. They deserved to be in the Championship game. I don't know that anyone is saying otherwise. I'm certainly not.
i still dont get the SEC SEC SEC thing.
Then you probably never will.
I acknowledge that its a great conference loaded with ranked teams including a handful of really good teams every year. But does chanting that SEC SEC SEC crap make UF fans feel better about being 4-8?
Those were UF fans that made the trip out to Arrlington chanting "SEC!" after the Missouri Cotton Bowl win? I didn't know that.
Living vicariously through Auburn? Or the rest of the SEC riding Bama's coat tails the last couple years? Arrogant SEC fans just amaze me.
Stupid ACC fans amaze me.
Do Yankee fans cheer for the Sox or Rays in October?
No....... Why would they? Does the perceived strength of the AL East give them any advantage? Do the vast majority of Yankee players come from the same region of the country as Red Sox players?
I dont think Michigan was cheering for Sparty or Urban over this past week.
Did Shaw or Sweeney talk **CENSORED** about the Big 10?
Its really incredible with so much tradition and strong rivalries in the SEC fans can put all that aside when their team isnt playing and cheer just as hard for a conference rival.
This isn't the same as chanting "SEC!" while leaving a stadium after your team just won an OOC game.
Does it make you feel better watching conference rivals play in BCS games and win titles?
No, AU playing in the BCS title game makes me puke.
Hey at least we play a hard schedule! Ummmm......ok what does that get you? Pride? Is it really great to be a 4-8ter?
Who is doing this?
You can keep your conference pride.
Okay, and we'll enjoy getting the nod over every other conference when there's multiple teams vying for that last playoff spot.
I At the end of the day the goal is to contend for national titles right?
Yes, and contrary to what pussies from FSU think, playing in a tough conference has proven the best way to get there. See:7 in a row
Are FSU fans suppose to feel guilty that they dominated the ACC to get to the title game?
No, why would they? They finally did what they should do every year. Win every game while playing their **CENSORED** schedule.
I sure as hell don't. I'm happy that we've blown everyone out and I look forward to the test tomorrow. Go Noles!
CSBYou must be pretty freakin stupid to not understand why SEC fans like the fact that they play in what is recognized as the toughest football conference. You must be pretty freakin stupid to not understand why people in the south take so much pride in being the best at football.
not this year my friend. FSU is the best but you guys will probably try to claim it as part of your streak since FSU is "built like an SEC team." :P ;) but as you watch us celebrate take solace in the fact that you guys play a tough conference schedule. ;D Your reign of terror is over. Get used to this. We'll be back next year too.....
I was rooting for FSU, genius.Glad they won, but what an embarrassment for the ACC. FSU blows out everyone they face all year, then they run into an above average SEC team and struggle mightily. FSU won, but the strength of the SEC was on full display. That was one of the worst defenses in the SEC, and they held Jameis and co in check for the most part.FSU would not have had the same season playing an SEC schedule.
"What an embarrassment for the ACC." Wow...........you're right........it sure is embarrassing to win a National Title. What an "embarrassment" to defeat the SEC champs in thrilling fashion late in the 4th in a finish that will be remembered for years. ;) BTW i'm not sure you know what "embarrassed" means. ;D
Miyagi just mad
some numbers for comparison... Nebraska 1995 and FSU 2013From a historical perspective of past Heisman Trophy winners and how they normally fare most of the time I think coming back from such a deficit was the stuff of the best teams in CFB history actually do. Everyone stated that FSU hadn't been tested and couldn't perform when faced with a tremendous deficit to overcome. Lets just add the biggest comeback in BCS championship history to the accolades FSU has already achieved in its most remarkable 14-0 season.I can remember back in 1993 I felt that team was the best team I had seen in CFB history but unfortunately they stumbled to Notre Dame and it took a last minute FG made and FG missed by Nebraska to win it. Now to be fair that 1993 team played a far tougher schedule than this years team but still they lost a game edged Florida and barely beat Nebraska.Nebraska is often mentioned as the best single season alltime. One must remember they only played 12 games while FSU has played 14 14 wins trumps 12Nebraska played 4 teams with 10 wins or more FSU played 4 teams with 10 wins or more ( actually FSU had one with 11 wins.. slight advantage FSUWhile I am not sure it is relevant FSU certainly played more bowl teams than Nebraska but given there are so many more bowl games today that probably shouldn't be considered. IMO.Nebraska averaged 52.83 points a game while permitting 14.5 difference 38.33 margin of victoryFSU averaged 51.64 points per game while permitting 12.14 difference 39.5 margin of victory.FSU opponents averaged 6.85 wins against 5.92 losses Nebraska 6.33 wins against 5.25 losses Call it a draw...slightest edge Nebraska..I guess because of their delightful stomping of a UF team that threw in the towel at halftime gives Nebraska a bigger edge but I would argue that Auburn this year was a far better team than Florida in 1995. They never quit!! That being said advantage Nebraska. With the above statistics I think you certainly can make the statement that FSU is indeed in the conversation of one of the greatest seasons all-time. Hey wasn't the biggest complaint was that FSU was never challenged in a big game at crunch time?Couldn't the same be said about Nebraska? FSU proved it could come back from the largest deficit in BCS history so it indeed proved it could win a game in the closing seconds. ADVANTAGE FSU..Of course the fact that fans wanted a blow out and somehow want to still diminish the season completed is noted. Perhaps it wasn't as special as they wanted or believed. That certainly will provide plenty of incentive for FSU to prove everyone wrong again next season when they play a far tougher schedule with a monkey on their back. I think a rather convincing argument can be made for FSU in this matter despite those that wish to be critical.
Miyagi just mad
It must really burn your ass to see me right all the time.
Look everyone . Miyagi-san is right all the time :
AU is beyond lucky to even be in this game. They needed insane amounts of luck and/or horrible officiating in at least 3 of their wins, to go along with a two TD loss. It's why Vegas not only has them as a heavy underdog in this game, but would against probably another 5-10 teams. They don't factor in luck. Maybe you do. Have fun with that.
It's still going to be a **CENSORED**ty title game.Auburn isn't any better than OSU. They're insanely lucky to be where they are, and they will get thrashed.Auburn's one dimensional offense will be useless, and their defense can't stop Winston and the crazy athletes FSU has. This will not be pretty.
....ummmm....yeah. He mad.
LULZI was right, and you were wrong. You predicted an Auburn win, period. Hell, you predicted an AU blowout.Auburn made a game of it, but they were still beyond lucky to be there. You'd know this had you watched any of their football games his year.I was rightYou were wrong

Everything I stated in that post was spot on. You'd know this had your watched any AU football this year.

It wasn't a blowout, but I got everything else right.AU was very lucky to be there. You predicted an AU blowout. You were wrong. Why would I be mad about you being wrong. It's funny how big an ass you've made of yourself. And you keep going.Tell me more about how Auburn was going to win the game, and you backed out of the bet, because I'm a "d0uche".You wrongYou dumbSorry 'bout your luck
FSU beat Auburn 31-10 after the fake punt and realizing Auburn was stealing FSU's signals through Craig. FSU did indeed suffer from Heisman itis and playing on the Big Stage and not just playing the game and executing. There was too much expectation of blowing Auburn out rather than just taking care of business. The SEC has more good teams than any other conference though the Pac 12 could certainly make a rather convincing argument that this season they had more. I have to admit that the long held myth started by Bowden and adopted by SEC fans that it is impossible to go undefeated in the SEC finally was proven to be true at least for this season. Could this become a trend finally? Stay tuned...Just saw that UF is predicted to start off the in the way to early Preseason poll at #25. 4-8 last season? Could it be they feel Florida will be the Auburn of the conference next season with such a high rating? I guess the we are so injured excuse cried by UF all year really worked in the national media. One thing you can say about UF...THEY ARE THE BEST EXCUSE MAKERS AND WHINERS IN THE HISTORY OF CFB. Has UF ever lost a game and not blamed someone else for the loss and actually gave credit to the Victors? There certainly is something in the water in Gainesville. http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/10246704/florida-state-leads-2014-way-too-early-top-25-rankings
He so mad....
Now which side should I choose? The one stating that FSU would win or the one supporting the moral victory by Auburn?Lets see if I can unite the two.... Come on guys! SEC SEC SEC!Auburn was the best team in the SEC and they lost to one of those weak teams from that horrible conference that sucks so bad called the ACC. Just a thought but the ACC went 2-0 in their BCS games the SEC went 0-2Looks like the alleged premier conference in CFB took the gas pipe in the BCS this year!Maybe this will work? Hey FM? Got a second I would like to run something by you, or perhaps a link to the song Oklahoma?Or DJ How about "It grates to be a florida gator or perhaps It's GR8 to be a 4 and 8'RNow both of you kiss and make up! :D
Missouri and Texas A&M didn't have a problem adjusting to an SEC schedule. I'm sure FSU would adjust as well. Give credit to FSU's defense for shutting down Auburn in the 2nd half. Their defense won the game. Any SEC teams hold Auburn to 10 2nd half points?
One thing I learned in the past month or so is this: Auburn fans are VERY classy. Seriously, the nicest I've ever dealt with. Another thing.....football related: AU is one hell of a coached football team. They were absolutely prepared, and they came out and punched FSU in the mouth. In the end, though, FSU was able to quell AU's ridiculously efficient rushing attack. That's only because FSU had the depth on the defensive side to keep up. AU was the real deal, and from watching last night I now realize their win against UA was not nearly as fluke-ish as I previously claimed.
I went to the National Championship Game and I have to agree that Aubrun fans are all class. Before and after the game, at the airports, in the stands, tailgating....They we all class and we had nothing but fun together. I think it's because they are just true fans. They understand that you're not going to win it all every year. They are like the opposite of these gator bandwagon "fans"/SEC fans that have been around for the last 5-10 years who just assume that they should win it every year. It was obviously a great time for me, but I don't have a single bad thing to say about the Auburn fans that made the trip.
AU wasn't the best team in the SEC.
Just a thought but the ACC went 2-0 in their BCS games the SEC went 0-2
What's the ACC's overall record in BCS games? What was their overall record in bowl games this year?
Looks like the alleged premier conference in CFB took the gas pipe in the BCS this year!
The SEC is still the best conference in CFB. AU was within one score of FSU, who dominated every single team they faced all year long. AU won 5 SEC games by a TD or less. They had one of the WORST defenses in the conference. Yeah, FSU wouldn't have looked near as impressive as they did this year playing an SEC schedule. A&M, MIzzou, Bama, LSU, South Carolina, UGA and AU were all better than every team in the ACC with the exception of FSU and Clemson, and most of those team were better than everyone in the ACC sans FSU. Hell, Vandy and Ole Miss could have made a Duke-like run for the ACC championship this year, if they were in that weak ass conference. But props to FSU, they won the BCS, and they deserved it. It doesn't change the fact that the ACC is the weakest BCS conference now and in the entire span of the era.
lol, still mad
