That being said I have never felt any SOS ranking has ever had real validity.

Of course not.  Because then you wouldn't be able to whine about "out of conference games out of state" incessantly, and Florida annually plays a tougher SOS than FSU.  So of course you don't feel those rankings have any merit.  You're a dope.

Nope. I believe on what happens on the field when Team A meets Team B and who wins.  That is the only thing that matters  37-7  Is Florida the only team in the FBS that whines about how tough their schedule is every year as the reason they will take 25 years to play an out of conference game outside the state of Florida during the regular season?  Hey I certainly agree the UF played a tough schedule this year where their only win against a team with a winning record was Toledo. 7-5 and yes it was tougher than FSU's who beat 6 teams with winning records and 2 teams at 500 6-6 going into the bowl games.  I certainly also agree over the last few years FSU has played annually a weaker schedule than UF. Overall though according to Sagarin( who I guess is the best of the flawed concept of SOS) FSU over the last 2 decades generally has played a tougher SOS according to his measures which again I don't put a tremendous amount of stock.

Yeah. Why don't the gators schedule more tough out of state non conference games? ..you know , like Idaho . LMAO...When in the BCS hunt with other 1 loss teams, the Gators have never had an issue with strength of schedule. In fact it's always been a selling point. But I'm sure Jeremy Foley appreciates the RUnTroll's concern. Laugh out freaking loud.

There's  a difference between "whining" and defending. You whine.UF fans defend. And I don't expect your whining to cease leading up to this game, or after. It will only go from "UF hasn't played a blah blah blah" to "UF has only played one blah blah blah", or you will find some other stupid, obscure pile of nonsense, in which nobody else GAF about, to whine about when it comes to their (consistently tougher than FSU's) schedule

Really? Link me to a UF fan "whining" that their schedule is too hard.UF fans (and others, like myself) might do, what some consider whining, about how weak FSU's schedule is.But no, on this board, it's usually Runtroll whining about some stupid, obscure thing about UF's schedule, that nobody else GAF about, and then UF fans defending their schedule, even though it really isn't necessary.

LMAO...I  guess UF must have noticed since they will be playing Idaho 2014....  Your point??  ROFLMAO!    I guess with a 4-8 record UF looked to arguably the weakest team FSU played last season to find somebody they could beat!!Eastern Michigan and Eastern Kentucky look like good choices!  LOL http://www.fbschedules.com/ncaa-14/sec/2014-florida-gators-football-schedule.php like shooting fish in a barrel... ;) :DWell at least they will have 3 wins in the bank before the season starts unless one of those turns out to be another Georgia Southern! :-[

When you drop your third oldest rival because you are afraid of a loss( Miami) or refuse to play a team at their home field (Bama vs FSU) that shows cowardice. Bottom line out of conference games don't figure into conference championships so unless you are just padding win totals there is no need to schedule 3 every year.  The too tough schedule is just the drivel of cowards.

When was he last time FSU played in Tuscaloosa? Why are they so scared? It's not like they have to worry about tough games in their own conference.

I am sure that FSU would be happy to play in Tuscaloosa as long as Bama would reciprocate. Oh and not to open an open wound on the best team standing at the end not being the best team due to their won/loss record theory of yours but in case you haven't noticed the parity in the NFL is the greatest of any sport.  From 1-32 on any given Sunday the alleged worst team can beat the best if about 3-4 plays or bounces of the ball go their way.  Sure on a week to week basis some teams are more consistent but it is a rare occasion for any NFL team to go undefeated. In fact the Dolphins are still the only team in history to accomplish the feat.  In CFB it happens often because out of 120+ teams there are HAVES  and HAVE NOTS...    Only in CFB will a team that gets smoked 62-36 get to play in the MNC game..  and be declared one of the top 2 teams in CFB's Mythical championship.  Oh and and Miami stomped Nebraska 37-14.  CFB's MNC is a make believe championship and always will be until there is a real playoff.  Next year will be a start but there is still a long way to go.As you continue to celebrate beauty contests as a methodology we will choose to disagree.  Hey if FSU finishes a perfect season that will be great and certainly worth celebrating.  Still the championship will not be recognized by the NCAA though the season will be noteworthy.

No, you're not sure. You haven't a clue. The only Jimbo quote I can find regarding playing Bama was a big fat "NO".

If it's in there, then bold me the part where you are naming a team that won the BCS that was NOT the best team in football.Otherwise, I'm not reading that shit, and your concession is noted.
