Where are we now? As fans? Not in a good place. At 2-13 most of us are praying for one more loss at home to tie the franchise record of 0-8 just to get the first pick in the draft. We need a QB….obviously. But the thing is we also need an OL. Not another player, an OL. Oh….we need an OC as well. An OC who can coach without any interference from a HC who knows absolutely nothing about offense or getting players to PLAY offense. Now I’m just not feeling good about this all happening. An offense that cannot block, run or pass the ball but IS good at creating ill-timed penalties and costly turnovers banking on being lifted to respectability by the likes of St. Lovie Smith is not something I view happening soon……or ever.Just me? I don’t THINK so. Being at today’s “game” in Tampa for a Packers home game showed me and the world that the fans of this team have just thrown up their hands and given up. There were maybe 25,000 to 30,000 Buccaneer fans there today probably much less. The Tampa…………Baaaay cheer we all know and love? Drowned by GREEN………..BAAAAY at the first attempt and never tried again. GO PACK GO was the cheer of the day. All day.Next week? Almost ALL of the fans I talked to, Buccaneer fans of course, said though they would be there to watch us play the Saints they would FINE with another loss to get that first pick.Scary. But not as scary as the job of trying to sell season tickets in 2015 must be.I want to hear some good things. Though it seems it’s a given St. Lovie will be here despite his awful coaching, motivation and talent evaluation “skills” there are things that can give us some hope. The first pick in the draft, the decision to draft the best QB in the draft and the hiring of a qualified OC in tune with the modern game who can make best use of the QB drafted. That’s it. That’s all that matters, all that will give fans some hope. Because the way things are going is nowhere. And St. Lovie having anything to do with the offense is nowhere fast. I want to hear about the search for an OC, the subsequent hire and the plans for an offense we can get behind again. Anything else, much like a St. Lovie press conference, is boring, unproductive and useless drivel. So what are the chances the Buccaneers are listening? Surely they must have seen and heard what went on at Lambeau South today. Surely they saw and felt what we who were there saw and felt. Surely they know they are responsible for who runs football operations and where it is going.Pewter Report has some excellent writers and reporters at work.  We have some damn good posters here as well. I want to hear ideas. Ideas that might work. Coaches who might be good fits here? Mariota or Winstons and why? How does a new OC improve an OL that looks as horrible as it does week after week?Asking for help. Asking for hope.
