If Pack wins and Schiano stays, I could see Cutler here... he has the big arm to throw downfield and the teams drafting in front of us can draft their QBs. We wanted Palmer this offseason since he has the vertical game... Cutler could make sense for this offense. I don't know if Cutler is a winner, but it wouldn't surprise me.. Cutler would be throwing to VJax/MWill and possibly Kenny Britt or Sammy Watkins. I'd kinda feel bad for the guy... he keeps going to teams with bad OL.
I've been thinking the same thing for a while. I know there are quite a few on this board who would be VERY against it, but holding subjective feelings aside, I think there is a high chance it happens. We know at least that Dom likes him and tried to trade for him previously. If he's still here I could see I happening. That said, bringing the subjective back in, I'd rather see what Glennon has for a full year and offseason. Use FA dollars to try and lure a pass rusher (Jared Allen) and then draft a Sammie Watkins or another offensive weapon with your 1st rounder
I hope not. I would rather have Glenn and be 5 10 15 pounds and have an off season t. We have needs at defense stillo be a better quarterback. I would use a 4th round pick to find a backup quarterback. We still need a pass rush. We still need defensive backs. We still need a linebacker. We still need a wide receiver. We still need a backup center and another offense of lineman. We still need a lot. Most importantly we need coaching.
Cutler is not leaving Chicago. He has a HC he likes with the Bears, two great receivers, a good TE and revamped (good) OL. The Bears will want him back too. Why would he wnt to come here?
Assuming Coach Schiano stays, I'd be ok with Cutler, but I'd prefer Glennon and fixing the running game. The running game works, so will Glennon, imo.
