PewterReportMC; I know that we definitely need at least two more new WR's and we'll probably get one from the draft, but I don't see it in the first or second round; I believe we are going Defense in those early rounds unless there is a higher rated OL ahead of that DL/LB. What do you think?
Horse all bets are off. No way anyone can say where they will look first round. Guessing? Move down if someone falls and they can find a partner. And truthfully it will all be based on what they do in free agency. If they sign a Jared Allen then that most likely takes a DE off the first round wish list. Let's get through FA then we will have a MUCH clearer picture. Anyone named other than Licht or Smith are just tossing darts.
PewterReportMC; my fault as I should have clarified the question. PewterReportMC, Free Agency, trades are over and no team wants to trade up to our No. 7 spot. Clowney, Watkins, are gone. Who would you select?
Thanks Mark!
Why on earth would we even consider cutting him? This is a very minor event. Williams still has some quality years left in him. His maturity might be in question, but not his football skills.
Why not question his football skills? IIRC he was having cases of the dropsies and being out of position. If we could trade him and get Evans, it wouldn't make me mad.Not SURE his mind is 100% on football either.
U.S., i thought you were dead-set against taking a WR early. Or is it that you just aren't a fan of Watkins?
I want OL in the first round. Watkins is a potentially great WR, but no WR or QB, IMO, is worth more than a round 1 OT for the Bucs this year.Evans might be available in the 2nd round, if not, it won't be the end of the world even if we cut HIP_HOP Williams. Is anyone sure we know where his head is? I'm not. Some of you have put some much on Lovie's shoulders, I'm wondering if some of you don't think he is J.C.
Uncle Stan; I agree with you about the OL; I am leaning in putting a LB ahead of Watkins. I'm not sure yet if Watkins could also be our guy because of his size and I never saw him do much blocking at South Carolina. I think he can be muscled at the line of scriminage with the bigger CB's coming of age. Evans, I believe will go in the bottom third of round one.
dbucfan; I don't have anything else to say than what I said. right now there is zero reason to not play him. I am sure we will also bring in one to three more WR's that will make our team and replace some. I don't see Jackson or Williams as one of the replacements.
Thanks Horse - was just wondering
