Now that it is official and PR is 100% in the Winston corner, I would like to know just how much you know about Mariota that justifies your (meaning PR group) recent comments on him. Mark, you have been honest in your FSU love and yet still come across, at least to me, as attempting to talk about Mariota fairly. But between Scotts Fab 5 and then his dismissive comments (Bucs fans who want Mariota are just win starved and obsessed with Oregon's flashy offense) in the recent chat, I'm concerned that PR is lacking the objectivity that it use to relish in. Heck, the college season isn't even officially over yet but it appears a final decision has already been made and that is sad.Hey maybe I'm wrong and you guys have already done your homework and have it nailed. But I would like to know just how objective PR has been to make this final decision already. For both Winston and Mariota can you please answer the following questions, Estimates are OK:1) Have you ever met or talked to him? How many times?2) Have you ever been on the sideline of one of his games?3) Have you ever spoken to his coaches? How often?4) How many of his teammates have you spoken to?5) How many family members or friends of his have you spoken too?6) How many hours of game have you watched? In person, live, tape and replays.7) How much real research have you done on each player?My point is, especially Scott, when you say Mariota lacks leadership, or is just an engineer, how do YOU know this? It sounds like you are parroting what others have said but say it like you know its a fact. You express Winston's leadership saying how you talked to his coaches, teammates, friends etc., but I bet you have not done the same for Mariota. Maybe you haven't heard about his leadership simply because you haven't asked. Although I am leaning Mariota right now as the safer pick, I was hoping for an offseason of fair and rational discussion about the pro's and con's about both players. You know, talk to the players, coaches friends etc. Watch pro days and the combine to see what Mariota looks like in a 7 step drop. Has Winston's footwork improved after his private sessions? Put film on with Mariota and see if he can at least recognize reads. You know, the standard evaluation of a QB. It is sad to think that I can't depend on PR for some of that information now. You guys use to be so much better than this. I guess we already know everything we need to know and there is no need for any further discussion or PR articles, chats and Fab 5's talking about the #1 pick now huh?
