Chirinos is the one that really gets me. He's not just hitting well, he's thrown out an incredible number of baserunners, like 48% or something.
Yates should have never been put in that situation...tough loss...real tough
I have not seen any trade scenarios where the Rays get good value for Price. Its mostly prospects that may or may not pan out. Very risky. I would like to see a proven bat included in the deal. But with everyone and their brother knowing the Rays HAVE to move Price, I guess they will settle for the best offer. On a related note, I heard a George Will interview the other day. He was saying there is a lot of talk about lowering the mound again. Not only to help hitters, but a lot of baseball people believe throwing downhill is the cause of so many shoulder injuries.Typical Yankees, they ride the Tanaka train hard, and now he has elbow probs.
With Tanaka facing possible Tommy John surgery, the Yanks could get involved in the Price sweepstakes. Only trouble is, they don't have much in the way of high value prospects. And they have very few home grown prospects. Good job Brian Cashman.

Justin O'Conner is improving at Charlotte. Really good arm, bat coming around. Reason for hope.
