I have not seen any trade scenarios where the Rays get good value for Price. Its mostly prospects that may or may not pan out. Very risky. I would like to see a proven bat included in the deal. But with everyone and their brother knowing the Rays HAVE to move Price, I guess they will settle for the best offer.
I think the best deal for the Rays could come with a team able to extend Price's contract. On a related or maybe not related note, sounds like the Giants, Mariners, and Reds are interested in Zobrist. Lots of teams should be, including the Dodgers.
Can the Rays please get Balfour and Peralta off their team? They both stink.
Some chatter out there that the Blue Jays are in the Price sweepstakes. It would make sense. A big market team, right in the thick of a pennant race, and a pretty good farm system. I guess the only down side could be the Rays not wanting Price in their division.
I don't think it is going to happen. The Rays will likely trade him to the NL if I had to guess.
The resurrection of Scott Kazmir is unbelievable. What he is doing for the A's is great to see him being a good pitcher. When it looked like he was done a couple years ago. Wouldn't mind Scotty coming back to retire as a Ray.
