Blame the offense for that loss.7 hits in 14 innings. Yuck.
Ya, Ramos walking a guy on 4 straight pitches with 2 outs and the bases loaded for the game winner for Texas had nothing to do with the loss.
I think/hope Kevin Kiermeyer is going to be a really good player, but the guy is in a 10-for-60 slump that has seen his average drop 40 points. And he has a 3-to-1 strikeout-to-walk ratio. I see him as the center fielder eventually (if Joe Charboneau, Jr. re-takes right field), but I hope his recent play is more indicative of a rookie hitting the wall than his actual level of long-term major league ability.

I would like to see a break-down of Kiemeyer's AB's when hitting "leadoff" as opposed to batting 9th. I don't have the "moneyball" stats, but I would like to see Kiermeyer get a shot at batting 1st next year, or even 2nd if Zobrist is gone.

It shouldn't have come down to that if the offense did their job.
Smyly is money so far. 1st complete game for him with any pro team. Hickey does something with these pitchers.
