"Logic and reasoning mystify me, Mr. Science!"
How is something logical with no actual proof? That seems like the opposite of logical to me.
If you look at something a billion light years away, you're seeing what it looked like a billion years ago.
No, genius, it's based on the fact that if it's a billion light years away, it took that light a billion years to get here.
There is a difference between distance and age.

Okay can you show me what Earth looked like a billion years ago with absolute certainty? No, well I don't see what's so funny. At best science can only make their best guess. A guess is a guess, it's not a fact. Again there's a lot of questions we like to believe we have the answers too, but we don't.
Let's try something a little simpler. It takes light eight minutes to travel from the sun to Earth. So when you look at the sun, you're not actually seeing the sun. What you're seeing is the light that left the sun eight minutes ago.

And that tells how old the Earth is how exactly? Look whether you want to admit it or not we don't have all the answers and we never will. Guess what? Whether we have the answers or we don't, it will not change the fact that it will not matter after you die. With every life comes death. That is the only thing that is truly guaranteed. What happens after that, well debate it all you want, but that still won't change what happens after you die. That's something we won't know until it happens. Thinking you have the answers are different than actually having them. In the end it doesn't matter what you, I, or anyone else believes because it won't change the outcome.
