I think the “failure” is in the political party that made promises of cradle to grave entitlements for the past 50 years. The promises were just to get votes, since such entitlements were never a reality. Included with these promises was the narrative of victimization, and the political party was going to be their savior, again just to gain votes.
Nothing panned out as promised no matter how much money was thrown at the “problem”, mainly because the narrative of victimization became deeply ingrained and reinforced by every political election.
If you teach a kid nothing is ever his fault and all his problems are because he’s a victim , this kid will never learn to take responsibility and be accountable. When surrounded by like minded kids and generations of the same, the narrative becomes their reality.
All just to get political power. It is no wonder that people that are infected with this narrative are frustrated.
