I apologize in advance for the long winded post but I sincerely hope it is worth your time.
Over the years, I have been whining and crying about red light cameras popping up when I lived in Palm Beach County, seen them come, go, and come back again, all while I have done nothing about it but whine.
Recently I moved over here to Hillsborough County, and the problem of red light cameras is incredibly significant!
I've done a solid bit of research and decided to put my mouth into action and start going about getting these cameras taken out of use through the legislative process.

My intent is to combine this petition with efforts and support of people who have been fighting this before me and bring the issue directly to my legislators.
A bill to repeal the use of red light cameras has passed the Florida House and is now onto the Florida Senate for a vote. I would like to bring a massive amount of public support to the Senate Subcommittees tasked with this vote, and let them know the public is tired of paying civil penalties without a violation being proven beyond a reasonable doubt.
I know there are some people who through whatever viewpoints are advocates of red light cameras, and think they prevent accidents. My challenge to you is read the petition, read the studies I have posted, verify my citations and check my sources. My date and information is unbiased and pure. No one has paid me to work on this. This is my burden and cause. If you're not convinced red light cameras are a violation of your civil rights, don't sign the petition. Instead, challenge me on it, bring me facts. Educate me.
I am not asking for money, as lobbying through "financial contribution" has gotten our lawmakers and municipalities into this mess. I ask solely for support, and to share if you believe in it. Thank you all for your time if you have read my ramblings this far!
