Ukraine reopened the case against Burisma in March, 2019. Yes, that is before “the phone call”.

At the end of the day, where will that leave the Dems in their claims of Trump forcing Ukraine to investigate Burisma during the phone call? I’d say up the creek.

Reading the transcript clearly shows Trump wanting Ukraine to investigate its involvement in the 2016 election. Do the Dems really have a leg to stand on in claiming investigating the 2016 election is off limits?

Remember, this is a brand new administration in Ukraine. Why would the US blindly give money to a known corrupt government before trying to see if their claims of cleaning it up were at least in the realm of possibility. That is not quid pro quo. It’s common sense.

This is also exactly what the Dems have said the phone call was not about. Hmm?
