The Malta ruins shown around 9:30 of "Secrets of the Stone Age" is worth the price of the whole series.

I lived in Sicily, around 1980; but, my parents didn't know about the Malta ruins. The neolithic Maltese created perhaps the greatest ruins of the late stone age. They had this underground cavern they carved out. And, they had this large Venus figurine. Seems before the Hebrew and Greeks after the iron age revolution(1200 B.C.) the religion was centered around female goddesses and not a male god(s). And, this female mother Earth goddesses "Venus Figurines" were found all over the Nediterranean for tens of thousands of years. The Malta ruins appear to be the last stronhold for the Venus figurine society.
