MSU Fan,Looks like you put a lot of time and effort into this. I am a fan of horror movies in general, but I wasn't the biggest fan of the Wolfman remake. I think Anthony and Benicio are great actors, but the movie just dragged to me a little bit. I don't see too many remakes turning out though, perhaps I was fond of Hills Have Eyes and Zombie's interpretations of Halloween. I remember seeing Walker in Fight Club as an actor, but I'm fairly certain that was exclusively Chuck Palahniuk's work, with Fincher's interpretation. I like how the film looks, the scenery, the special effects, but I'm just not hooked into the story line. To be fair, I wasn't the biggest fan of the original either though. I liked American Werewolf in London and the Howling series, as far as Werewolf flicks go. I liked Silver Bullet as a kid as well, but I probably wouldn't be able to sit through it today.As far as the reviews go, I think you could increase your audience by shortening the length drastically, it was a 4 part at about an hour. I feel like some of the strongest audience channels started off with shorter teasers and eventually may have led into more detailed analysis of films and whatnot. Like fishing, you have hook before you can reel. I feel like the review was scripted a bit at times, I think with a shorter review you won't have to worry so much about scripts and you can let your ideas flow. I have found in the past when doing video reviews and presentations, that when you run a script sometimes you'll have pace issues, where you'll either speak too quickly or too slowly. You begin to focus on the words and you slip with your inflection and emotion, which can go a long way into keeping your audience interested. I feel it would be cool to have trademark segments, where when you review future films it is consistent with previous films. For example, when Talking with the Dead responds to Twitter questions and what not. Again, you would have to build your audience and get the feedback first, but it's just a thought. Maybe at the end of each review, you could throw recommendations out there ie; If you liked Wolfman, you might like Dune. (Sorry, I felt Wolfman dragged).- 3SK
Thanks for the comment!Ironically, the effects were my least favorite part of the movie (The CG anyway) The CG is impressive and all, but at the same time, it does look...Really...Really...Faaaake. The best movies take you to another world, and while The Wolfman did that for me, the CG kind've kicked me back out a bit. I loved American Werewolf in London and Fight Club, but I didn't really like The Howling. The characters were really unlikable IMHO and it felt extremely slow and dragging. If you liked it and didn't like The Wolfman though, that's fine, this review was simply us explaining why WE thought it was a masterpiece.As for the review being scripted, you would be right. I worked on 52% of the script and reviewreviewer1 worked on about 48% of the script and starred/shot the video. I'll give him the advice about as he is the one talking. He's actually Dutch so his English isn't GREAT so that's kind've why he spoke so fast. As for the length, was kind've going for a Red Letter Media type analysis only, you know, good? ;) The answering questions segment sounds like a great idea, I'll talk to him about that too.Again, thank you for the support,MSU_Fan.
Let me sum up 3SK's post: It sucked. But, keep at it, dude. Criticism should only motivate you to do better.
Yeah, will probably just review it myself someday without any help, put some music and footage in, answer some questions, make it more fun. reviewreviewer1 has a strict formula for his reviews which often involves a slideshow of scenes from the movie and his (Or in this case OUR) exposition on why it's great.
msu, understand that if you want a better source for criticism on your flick, a bucs board is not the place. I do commend you on your good attitude and your ambition, though. that will get you very far in this world.

Yeah, I get it. I just wanted to provide a good defense for this movie that I love so much, and maybe open up some peoples minds to the fact this is a great film. Maybe change some opinions.
I pretty much think anything coming out of Hollywood these days (movie-wise) is complete garbage more times than not. Seriously, is it me or have they remade every film known to man? Kinda sad, actually.
