"We do that all the time with foreign policy," he said, adding that the administration had also held up money to three central American countries so that they would change their immigration policies."
"Get over it," Mulvaney said. "There's going to be political influence in foreign policy."
Why is this different then Mulvaney's example, because Trump wasn't asking about a national issue, like the Central American countries' immigration policy, he was asking for a favor with investigating a single political opponent AND even if you accept the WH document as a transcript, that's very very clear because its separated from "Crowdstrike," which is the other item MUlvanery alludes to.
This is from the WH transcript and it comes a full page after the reference to "crowdstrike" and the Oligarch referenced in the "foreign influence" thread:
"The other thing, There’s a lot of talk about Biden’s son, that Biden stopped the prosecution and a lot of people want to find out about that so whatever you can do with the Attorney General would be great. Biden went around bragging that he stopped the prosecution so if you can look into it... It sounds horrible to me."
