So the reporting is that Trump was behind the Church "law and order" debacle. I dont know if people understand this but that CHOICE -- law & order over empathy -- obviously plays to his base, BUT it is also lockstep with Nixon in the 1968 election. I have mentioned many times that Trrump seems to govern like hes trying to vindicate Nixon (and his close ally, Stone, eas a Nixon guy).
The problem though is that Nixon was the outsider in 1968, right? He was CRITICIZING the incumbent, LBJ, right?
I mention that because the Nixon read (if true) is proof of a political tin ear, particularity if youre looking around (not living in a coocoon)
By playing the "law and Order " card, Trump (incumbent) has actually taken a moment where he could have restored some faith in his admin after CV-19 and made things WORSE by creating a new Civil Rights movement AGAINST him.
And, hes done it when the polling is HEAVILY (almost overwhelmingly) in favor of the Civil Rights side, as I posted yesterday.
Need a better example than polls?

2. Ferguson elected its first black mayor in years (maybe ever?)
3. eight days of protesting
4. protests that grew in SIZE and peacefulness (mostly) last night -- an INTENTIONAL REBUKE OF TRUMP
He has every thing on his side, including most importantly the electoral college, but his political moves right now are more consistent with giving the election away. They are the moves that a professional political person would never allow, so it has to be that HE IS IN CHARGE and he just sucks at politics . . I mean, BADLY
