Jbear loves him, but he has become a con man, part of the disinformation machine. Here's the proof. In a thread about Twitter banning MTG, Greenwald tweeted this

"But the more important point is this: Parler took up this challenge from liberals. They started their own platform to offer greater free speech.

Soon as they became the nation's most-downloaded app, Dems demanded its destruction & tech monopolies obeyed:

PARLER was the brainchild of John Matze. He got the funding from Rebekah Mercer (if she was a liberal Greenwald would call her an Oligarch)

Rebekah Mercer (and her board) FIRED Matze because he wanted better MODERATION following January 6th. Here's Matze:

“On January 29, 2021, the Parler board controlled by Rebekah Mercer decided to immediately terminate my position as CEO of Parler. I did not participate in this decision,” Matze wrote in the memo, which was first published by Fox Business
“Over the past few months, I’ve met constant resistance to my product vision, my strong belief in free speech and my view of how the Parler site should be managed,” Matze wrote, specifying that he advocated for, among other things, “what I believed was a more effective approach to content moderation.”

In an interview with NPR, Matze claimed that he started advocating for more aggressive content moderation after the January 6th attack on the Capitol, only for board members like conservative donor Rebekah Mercer to ignore him. “To me, it was a clear indication of what could have happen if we didn’t change the ways were being done,” he said

SO . . DEMS DID NOT DEMAND ITS DESTRUCTION (LOL) . . .ITS THAT THE ARCH CONSERVATIVE MERCER FIRED MATZE BECAUSE HE WANTED TO MODERATE CONTENT. IT WAS THAT REFUSAL TO MODERATE VIOLENT CONTENT THAT LED GOOGLE AND APPLE TO PULL IT FORM THEIR STORES

"Apple and Google removed the app from their app stores because they said it had not sufficiently policed its users’ posts, allowing too many that encouraged violence and crime"

AND THEN AMAZON

"In a letter to Parler on Saturday, Amazon said that it had sent the company 98 examples of posts on its site that encouraged violence and that many remained active. “It’s clear that Parler does not have an effective process to comply with” Amazon’s rules, the company said in the letter. Amazon “provides technology and services to customers across the political spectrum, and we continue to respect Parler’s right to determine for itself what content it will allow on its site. However, we cannot provide services to a customer that is unable to effectively identify and remove content that encourages or incites violence against others.”

WITH MERCER AT THE REAL HELM, Parlaer chose its fate

In case you didn't know, this is MERCER:

"JOE BIDEN HAS been sworn in as president, but the divisions exemplified by the January 6 assault on the Capitol are here to stay, if billionaire heir and far-right financier Rebekah Mercer has any say in the matter. That’s according to her little-publicized 2019 book “What I Believe,” a transcription of a speech she gave in 2018 to the right-wing publishing house Encounter Books.

“[W]hat is the state of [the American] experiment today?” Mercer asked. “‘Now we are engaged in a great civil war,’ said Abraham Lincoln at Gettysburg in 1863. One hundred and fifty-five years later, it is barely hyperbolic to echo the Great Emancipator.” Raising the specter of violence, Mercer writes, “We are not yet in armed conflict, but we are facing an ever more belligerent, frantic, and absurd group of radicals in a struggle for the soul of our country,” referring to antifa specifically and casting her opposition to progressives more broadly in existential terms.

Mercer has been financing a host of right-wing individuals and groups involved in the storming of the Capitol, The Intercept reported earlier this month, from Arizona Republican Party Chair Kelli Ward to “Stop the Steal” organizer Ali Alexander, in addition to her role as a financier of news website Breitbart and the social network Parler. In 2020, Mercer’s father, Robert Mercer, donated $1.5 million to House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy’s super PAC, the Congressional Leadership Fund, and the Mercers donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to the Republican National Committee"

She could be JBear's sister with that Antifa comment :-)

JBear, youre a Greenwald and Andy Ngo fan, so you must like Mercer, right?
