Slip of the tongue or Racist Dog Whistle?

The ONLY thing remarkable about last night's primary in Florida (i.e., the reason it would get a lot of news coverage) is the historic win on the Dem side of African-American mayor, Andrew Gillum.

This is Trump's guy, DeSantis, speaking TODAY (not last night) about the race against Gillum:

“Let’s build off the success we’ve had on Gov. Scott. The last thing we need to do is to monkey this up by trying to embrace a socialist agenda with huge tax increases bankrupting the state. That is not going to work," DeSantis said.

A Gubernatorial candidate has an army of people who help with speeches etc. This was the DAY AFTER.
