I’m pretty happy with fa so far.
losing Evans hurts. But 3 years? Eh. That was quite surprising. Especially coming off an injury.
iOL and or TE should be addressed rounds 1-4 somewhere. I think we are ok at wr with McMillan egbuka godwin and tez.
otherwise edge lb cb in draft.
may look at a qb as well honestly.

Good with all this except I don't want a te. Otton got paid so go do the work. If Otton had left then yes.
I want defense first 3 picks
Saints channeling Licht
"“I think if there’s a theme, a bunch of high-character guys, guys that we love in this locker room, that are going to be great teammates, great people in this community, and obviously we certainly recognize the ability for them to perform on the field. It’ll be a lot of fun,” Moore said.
I want defense first 3 picks
I want BPA the first 3 picks.
Fuck passing on better talent simply to find guys that fits our idiot HC/DC’s scheme.

No issue with that but with some guard rails. If an elite wr falls to us and is the clear BPA, would you take him? If the ND RB falls to us would you take him? Would you take a QB in the 2nd that fell?
I think it's reasonable to draft BPA with a bias toward need. Like take the defensive BPA unless an elite offensive lineman falls to us etc

Given the fact that the coaching staff is not likely to survive after this year, I agree that it would be best to draft the best possible talent. That would give Licht the best chance of surviving the coming purge.

I get that.
But, I'm not passing on the #2 IOL on my board for the #4 OLB (assuming I have said player ranked higher).
We've seen this team reach for need for years, and it's blown up in their faces multiple times (i.e. White over Allen).
may look at a qb as well honestly.
Backup QB needs to be addressed better than Browing.
Will be in the 30s before we are looking for a starting QB again.

NO way I would be happy with FA so far.
So far FA is a C
Defensive upgrades are welcomed even if they are short term. ST upgrades are clearly better (Gainwell and Killebrew). Re-signing Otton is controversial and some would argue a knee jerk reaction to losing Evans.
...and it's really hard to argue with AI here
Offense: We lost Evans and while in madden franchise, having Egbuka and McMillian continue to boost ratings could step up, it's a question mark. Talent doesn't = Hall of Fame game changer. Egbuka disappeared in the second half of the year and it had nothing to do with lack of targets, McMillian cant seem to stay heathly, and Godwin is either the guy he was in 2024 or the guy he was in 2025; two entirely different receivers! Getting a new play caller should help on offense but we didnt improve losing Mike Evans, that's for sure
Defense: Added a bunch of "JAG" in their 30s. Sure, i feel it will help but i still see the defense being close to their 20th overall ranking last year as it stands today
Special teams: New coach, one special teams ace player, has got to be better
so overall, i'd have to agree, likely got slightly worse talent wise from where we were a year ago.....not sure draft can change it that much, maybe get us back to even....

McMillan cant seem to stay healthy? Dude broke his neck from a hospital ball and came back to play the same season, not like he pulled a hamstring.
Here's a counter with glass half full:
Bowles is essentially in a contract year. If Kancey plays well in his contract year, Diaby continues to improve, Winfield returns to form, and we get average LB play, that by definition should move this defense in the top 18 range or better... So marginally improved.
We are still 4 deep at wr: Godwin, Egbuka, McMillan, Johnson. Evans is actually a luxury if you consider this depth. Of course I wanted to keep him and of course he's got the size our other guys are missing but 4 deep is 4 deep.
Offensive line will be healthy again. Mauch alone makes this unit exponentially better... We can draft a guard as well.
Special teams has nowhere to go but up and I love those signing.
Gainwell is fairly substantial improvement over White imo.
Bucky has a chance to be healthy for the year with a healthy line.
Baker has a chance to lick his wounds as well.
We still play in a shit division and we still have a floor of 7-8 wins.
Give me 10 wins this year to shock the world.
