This is the reason you see Biden embrace the Mr Rogers taunt and the “he will listens to scientists” shot. Polling says people are tired of the chaos and the childish personal attacks.
Trump’s scorched earth, “they are all criminals and you’re a criminal for not reporting” approach may resonate with his base, but it’s completely out of step with most Americans thoughts on basic decency. It must be driving some 2016 supporters away.
