The current view of the 2020 election is, if the economy is strong in 2020, Trump will win.

So the Democrat Dilemma is, do they help with the economy and,in general, benefit their constituents, or do they ignore the benefits to their constituents and hinder economic growth in the hopes of defeating Trump in 2020.

An example: The USMCA Trade Treaty will add about 0.5% to the GDP. This is an increase of about 20% to the overall economy. This Trade Treaty has bi-partisan support and will pass if it comes to the floor for a vote.

But Nancy Pelosi has, so far, refused to allow this bill to come to the floor for a vote.

The irresistible attraction of the power to rule.
