Since July 21st, 44 people have been sentenced to a combined minimum of 711.5 years in prison for various sexual crimes against children. Additionally, 14 people have pled guilty to their various charges relating to sexual crimes against children and face minimum prison sentences totaling 144 years. Forty-Three people have been arrested and charged since July 21st with various crimes against children and are awaiting their trials and judgments.
The various charges for those both recently arrested and sentenced include child exploitation offenses, production, possession, and distribution of child pornography, enticement of children, sex trafficking of children, and sexual abuse of children. Those recently accused and sentenced include a pastor from New York, a former police officer from Jackson MS, a former school teacher from North Carolina, 11 MS-13 gang members, and an owner of an illegal massage parlor in Minneapolis MN.
