In the last two days both have given absurd answers when confronted on 2 whopper lies from the early days of the pandemic

Pence was confronted about his early day claims that 4 million test were going out. he interrupted the reporter to says that he never said 4 million test would be administered. By making that qualification he is tacitly admitting that he mislead people previously by saying kits without acknowledging that the kits were useless because they lacked reagents.
This is like a VP responding to an invasion of our country by telling people not to worry because he was sending 4 million tanks to stop the enemy, never diclosing that the tanks had no shells.
Trump:
Trump was confronted on his earlier claim that "15 cases would become zero," the clear implication being that CV was going away. He responded by suggesting it was honest because One day the number of cases will go to zero.
