Bridgewater waited until the last minute to decide he wasn't throwing today.....now, just moments before day two starts, he decides he isn't running either. WTF? Go home then. Why'd you even show up?

Hopefully this turns some teams off and he falls in our laps at #7

Yep...good news for us if the guys who do throw and run light it up and get the scouts salivating.Drop , Teddy ! Drop!

Derek Carr just ran a 4.68, not bad at all for a guy many thought was immobile.

That will be adjusted backwards to about 4.75 unless he runs much faster on the 2nd go round.

Interviews and medicals. He doesn't need to do anything and if I were his agent that's what I'd advise too.

I pick on Clayton as an analyst a lot, but he gets props from me for doing his homework on our team. Liked the bit he did on Buccaneers.com about the state of our franchise.

Agreed.  When you consider that probably every other team will have a similar session with him about their team, he really did have a good grasp on our situation, players and plans

I usually can't stand Clayton. He's a notorious Buc hater. Maybe Lovie is turning him around.

As stated earlier, Rice weighed in heavier at the combine (259) and was listed at 270.  Quinn weighed in at the combine at 264 (from what I can find) and is listed at that same weight now.  You've found 2 players who played at lighter then 270 on an every down basis.  Is that meant to establish a trend?  Both of those players you listed are a notch or two above Anthony Barr athletically (imo).  Would you put Barr in that category of explosion/athleticism?  That is what I would consider a necessity to playing at that weight.  You better be a freak.  Even so, I would be much more comfortable saying a person can play a certain position at a certain weight in the NFL if you could find more then 2 examples of people doing it well.  Lots of people have started at DE in 4-3 schemes over the last 15 years.  2 is a very small % of those.  Plus, you listed 2 players who were around Barr's weight (and frame, both good comparisons of frame imo) at the combine.  Both we've documented weighed in heavier then Anthony Barr, but same ball park.  Both of those players you listed did not (or in Quinn's case have not) filled out significant weight on their frames after college.  So those 2 examples would go against those posting here that Barr should have no problem getting up over 270 once he's drafted.

I have been on the Greg Robinson bandwagon for awhile but I have a feeling he will gone before we pick, maybe even at #2 to the Rams.  With that said, I really liked what I saw yesterday from Matthews and Lewan.  On tape, I thought Matthews was a little on the small side but he very fundamentally sound and you can tell he is very well coached and polished.  I also though Lewan wasn't as athletic as both Robinson and Matthews but he really impressed me with his speed and athleticism.  He blew Robinson away in the 3 cone drill. I think all are legitimate franchise LTs and are every bit as good as Joeckel, Fisher and Johnson from last year I know the combine isnt real football but I do feel a lot more comfortable with us taking a look at Lewan if Matthews and Robinson are off the board and we go heavy at DE in free agency

Yeah it's not sexy but I won't complain if we do this either. Cut bait with your weakest link, even two. Move guys around and upgrade.

Thread those guys came to the combine already as DE's .Barr was playing LB. He can get up to that weight easy at 6'5.

I don't think anyone really thought Mnaziel would be straight line fast. He is actually fast than I thought he'd be. He should do well in the agility tests.

I always dislike not throwing. Everyone agrees you really can't hurt yourself.  The WR might make you look bad on TV but the evaluators know what is what. Running, I don't care about that with Teddy anyways. That isn't this game so who cares?
