Bucs will have space. Penn, Joseph are good candidates. Also could see an extension of McCoy this offseason, that might create room depending on structure.
no, Bucs have limited cap space... $12,866,139 for overthecap: http://www.overthecap.com/calculator/?Team=Buccaneers add $3-4M for the draft and you need to have around $2M for the season... you only have $7M for free agency... and 5 picks for alot of needs... Offense: QB competition for Glennon, another TE, a slot guy and depth at receiver, Oline depth(if you dont rebuild?), a FB, maybe another RB for competition?Defense: need better outside passrush, need depth or competition for Spence/Landri, at least 3 linebackers(MLB or SLB + depth), a nickle back, some depth competition for our DBs?Special teams: Lovie want a big playmaker(KR/PR Hester?).Licht have to cut or rework some contract (with paycut if you dont want to morgage the future!)Penn, Joseph, Koenen are overrated, overpaid, past their "prime" and have nearly zero dead money... if they dont take a huge paycut, they have to go... this is $16M of cap space!
That's why I used the word "will."
Wait...I thought Dummynik was a cap and contract wizard ? Why do we have all this reworking that needs done ?! Lol

It is because he was a cap and contract wizard that we CAN rework and do what we need to. Only contract we are stuck with for another year is Goldsons'. Everyone else is set up to be cut or traded with no repercussions to our cap number.
I'd think a wizard wouldn't have tied up so much money in bums to begin with....
That is talent evaluation. Totally different thing.
Well I'm sure the Glazers are thankful he was such a "wizard" on that 2nd Michael Clayton contract. Lol
NFL Trade Rumors ?@nfltrade_rumors 2mJaguars Expected To Release DE Jason Babin http://tinyurl.com/q9c9947 Clowney being targeted? Or maybe Allen, Hardy, or Johnson?
My best guess is that $6 million is to much for a 33 year DE coming off a 7.5 sack season.
Probably has offseason bonuses that they don't wanna pay.
Patrick Peterson - DB - CardinalsAZCardinals.com's Darren Urban doesn't expect CB Patrick Peterson to receive a contract extension this offseason.Peterson recently changed agents, leading to speculation that he's pushing for a new deal. The Cardinals can exercise a fifth-year option to keep Peterson under contract through 2015, and seem likely to wait until next year to begin long-term talks. Peterson has made the Pro Bowl in two straight seasons and graded out as the No. 16 corner in Pro Football Focus' year-end ratings. He's expected to command over $50 million guaranteed on his next contract.Source: azcardinals.com =============Someone to keep an eye on down the road?
If the Bucs are looking for value then they will find it with a bunch of older DE's hitting free agency. Tuck is probably the guy to watch for as many are not talking about him as much as Hardy or Allen.

I think Robert Ayers might be somebody we look at. Hopefully not as the answer to all our problems, but if we signed a guy like Tuck and also Ayers, I think the DE position would be much better off. Clayborn is safe, but they could let Bowers, Means, and Gholston fight it out in camp for that 4th DE spot. Personally, my #1 pick for FA DE is Bennett. I'd love to see him come back.
I'd love to have Bennett back as well, though I'm sure its gonna cost more than it did (would have) last year. Gonna be interesting to see if the market is low numbers again this year. Maybe teams are colluding to save money.
