What if Zimmer already has a deal in place with Johnson to replace Jared Allen....and getting Griffin back was always the plan?

They just signed Brian Robinson to a deal this past season, I think it was close to $6M a year, you think they are going to pay 3 DE?
that Griffin deal just really screwed the DE market up. Vikings way overpaid
Vastly overpaying for average...did Dom catch on with the Vikes?
Hickey already overpaid for an old corner so Doms legacy does live on. But yeah this blows major chunks because imagine what Jared Allen will ask of non playoff contenders seeking his services....
I'd definitely kick the financial tires on Hakeem Nicks. If his market isn't very big, I think he's a great gamble, especially if they're considering moving on from Mike Williams.
Aaron Wilson ?@RavensInsider 11mSources predict for tackle market: Albert to Dolphins, Veldheer to Cardinals, Saffold to Raiders,. Collins to Buccaneers, Monroe to Ravens
Collins would be a decent signing.
Collins is the guy I most want at OT in free agency. He is an ascending player who has many more years ahead of him. I can see the Bucs moving him to RT and Dotson to LT if we sign him
prefer the younger Veldheer & Monroe but i'm fine with Collins... $6.5-7M is slightly overpaid but could be this year Bushrod...

Seattle paid like 5 last year....it worked out pretty well for them.
Collins is not an upgrade over Penn. That would be a stupid move imo....and Collins would be Buc fans new punching bag by mid season.

Didn't allow a sack or QB hit this past season. Don't believe he will be Bucs fans new punching bag at all.
Dude has been average at best for 6 years and never been able to lock down the starting job. Just cause he had a nice 8 game run last season....I'm not ready to ditch a "Proven" Penn for a "Could be" Collins.

You might not, but the Bucs might however.
Penn obviously failed the evaluation of the new coaches . He won't be around unless we strike out on every possible replacement. Get used to it.
