Yes the Bucs have CB's with different skill sets of playing outside m2m or inside slot play. Just need to see how they all look in the new scheme (probably a lot better).

Colvin was good, but he wont do much good for us in 2014. He also could end up not being that great of a pro CB like other recent OU CBs...Jamell Fleming, Brian Jackson, Demontre Hurst, Dominique Franks..etc.I remember Brian Jackson was a stud back in '08/'09 and he didn't even stick with an NFL for any reasonable amount of time.Colvin was already gonna be a day 3 selection. With the ACL injury, it turns him into a project for future years. I wouldn't be surprised if he went undrafted and someone just stashes him on their roster as an UDFA.

Yup. Michael Johnson will help...but it won't be enough with the remaining mediocrity that remains on the roster. Here's to a pass rush selection in the first 3 rounds.

The previous two regimes did a sh*try job building this defensive line. Sure, we have a top 3 DT in the league...but after that, there is a significant drop off in talent. The fact that you feel that we have a "solid stable of #2 DEs" just shows me how detached from reality you are. What you need to understand is that im not griping about pur pass rush. I like the signing of Johnson. I like a lot of what we have done so far, but its going to take more than just adding McDonald and Johnson and a scheme/coaching change. Thos pass rush has been horrid for nearly a decade now. We need more talent on the edges if we are going to be a championship defense. We aren't there yet. It has been so bad that it probably wont be rectified in just one offseason...and thats fine. The team is headed in the right direction...but it is far from being complete and ready for a title run. I sincerely hope that a pass rush prospect is added in the first 3 rounds. Behind Johnson, there really isn't much to get excited about.
No one is hating on Clayborn. At his very best, he is a lower range #2 option in comparison to other 4-3 DE rotations. He is good vs the run and average when rushing the passer.
Sorry Chace....but that's a load of sh!t. He had a great start to his career in his rookie season, lost his sophomore season to an ACL, and then came back and had another very good season last year. You wanna write him off as a back up? That's fine man....but that is your opinion. Not fact. Not reality. This is a big year for him and this season will determine which one of us is right. My money says he blows up on the left side and eats RT lunch all season. Time will tell brother.

Fact is, when looking at his PFF numbers he was graded poorly last year, contrary to your previous post. He actually didn't have that great of a year last season. You can write it off however you want....gap tooth, playing LB, lingering injury, impending poor uniform changes...That doesn't mean I have written him off. He should be better back from injury and in a better defensive scheme with better coaching...but at the same time, he has never really been all that special as a DE. I agree that time will tell, but making fun sig pics of a single screen shot does not make him a better DE. Reality is, he would be one of the better #3 4-3 DEs in the league, and as a #2, is near the bottom of that list...making him a lower end #2.
