The rest of the NFCS teams doesn't have depth either. So the the NFCS team the stays the most healthy has the best shot. Also Jensen was a non factor last year and Hainsey was fine as a replacement and will improve.

Saints have the best QB and best Defense in the division so if i was a betting man, would have to put my money there.
i dont think it's a foregone conclusion like say the NFC south predictions in 2021 and 2022 where Bucs were favorites and as expected took the division (albeit 2022 sucked)
we will know within the first 3 weeks what this team is. 2-1 and hey that 9-8 is in reach

I do not think the Saints have the 2nd best defense in the division. The Bucs and Panthers will be better IMO on defense. The Saints have a lot of great players in their front seven but they have lost a lot of other front seven pieces and depth so they are not going to be as strong IMO.

could see alot of people picking the Vikings in their survivor pools
that being said, I think we have a shot but I’m basing that on how smooth mayfield looked in his limited playing time this preseason.
The concerns with offensive line and playcalling will remain with me until proven otherwise

But I do think it won't necessarily be an overreaction to make some assumptions about the rest of the season based on that first game. The Vikings game will be a good litmus test.

I feel sad that they didn't reach my prediction but on the other hand I also realize this team is very schizo week to week.

Carr actually pushed the ball downfield a lot as a Saint. Unfortunately for the Saints they couldn't be consistent underneath with their passing game.

I was aware leftovers from that SB team are enough to win our very weak division, but I didn’t believe in that, mostly because of our HC.
