Powers-Johnson is a steal in the 2nd but I'd be willing to reach on him in the first.
Slide Hainsey to guard and let Maunch get better.
Then our line looks like a top 10 potentially...
But I'd prefer to trade back into the early 2nd and take Powers-Johnson. He's a bit of a reach in the first just based on position.
If one of the top QBs falls to the late first we should def grab him despite Baker getting paid (would prefer we give him 2 years and draft a QB).
Other than that give me edge, MLB, CB (if we cut Dean), S, or if we get lucky and an elite WR falls grab em.
I like the thought of drafting an edge rusher with our first pick--as long as they re-sign Evans, but I really, really, hope we draft iOL with our next 2 picks. If they let Evans go, then we need to get a WR with our first pick IMO.
Cant imagine them letting Evans go, but agree otherwise
I can also see a scenario where they go CB in the 1st, and cut Davis for cap savings (can't jettison Dean until next year).
Before we spend a 1st on iOL I do not understand why Leverett doesn't play. He was really impressive last year and Stinnie and Mauch are just ehh
Yet the coaching staff stated he has been the most improved lineman.

Wouldn't be surprised to see us draft a WR or ILB in round 1. We definitely need an updgrade at Safety and Center, too. A true running back like Michigan's Blake Corum is another possibility.
safety isn’t a huge need imho. Zyon has been playing more there and playing well.
whitehead is also a FA would love him back if we do sign a safety.
I do like the idea of trading back but wouldn’t mind a qb like JJ or ewers round 2.
iOL certainly a big need but not good value round 1. Ideally don’t draft two starters sign one and draft one. Starting 2 rookies on the o line would be scary + mauch only in his second year
chance they move mauch to C next year
Any chance Jensen comes back?

Does Britt just step in at LB? No need to draft an LB except maybe late as depth?

I thought SR said he was done? Could be wrong about that

Well if the Bucs don't address the front 7, that first pick better be invested into the top iOL in the class. All our skill based positions are fine, although we could be in trouble if David retires. 26 is a much better spot to take a iLB than pick 5.Possibly, but they've already spent a lot of high draft capital on the front line in recent years following up White with Tryon, Hall and Kancey. Diaby came in a later round and they did just fine with him. When the need for a starter is there and the talent is on the board of course that can be the pick. But I think the Bucs will try to squeeze another year out of Barrett who will be a year removed from his achilles and draft his replacement to back up and/or compete with him for the job. I just think they've spent a lot of capital on the front seven of the defense in recent years and they may go another direction in that first round if they don't trade out of the round all together.Bucs probably take the best edge on the board in round 1 and then round 2 take best available interior OL.

I don't think anyone on here is really advocating investing a 1st round pick into C/LG.
I actually think it's a good idea. Looks like we're set at tackle. Now if we can get a dominant guard we're on to something.

Depending on who is available, I don't disagree.
Quinn Ewers announced that he's staying at Texas for another season.
While McCollum has been playing more S, we don't know what will happen with our current CBs (Dean and Davis) - both are high salaries and could become cap casualties. Plus, you really need 3 CBs in this league.
Evans and Godwin are great WR1 & WR2. But will Evans be resigned? I sure hope so, but it's not a given. Palmer and Rakim Jarrett have been inconsistent but show promise. If a WR like Adonai Mitchell, Brian Thomas, Xavier Worthy, Xavier Legette, or Ladd McConkey were to fall to us at the end of the 1st round, they could be plugged in immediately as WR3 and eventually replace Evans or Godwin in the next few years.
With Devon White probably not being resigned and Lavonte David's future uncertain, it would be hard to pass up an ILB like Jeremiah Trotter Jr in the 1st round.
As other posters have said, based on the needs we have (IOL, ILB, WR3, S, CB), a trade down to the top of the 2nd round (that adds an extra 3rd rounder) could be the smart idea. Having 2-2nds and 2-3rds could potentially land us starters/immediate contributors at 4 of those 5 positions I listed above.

I really hope LD gives us one more year before he retires. If he does, that will give us a chance to address iOL and the other IL this year, which would set us up in a good position for the next year.
