McCollum stepped up last year as he was effectively a starter with all the injuries. Bucs do need to draft another boundary CB for depth because Dean can not stay healthy.

But, Bowles only had him play man 23% of his snaps.
Yeah Davis excels at press man but for some reason Bowles loves zone. And its weird because its not like our boundary corners jump routes to even run the stupid scheme. Bowles has made some decisions on defense that have been confounding, and IMO, cost us a couple or so games last year.
I think Bowles plays more zone than people think and even more so with only one of two safeties lol
Hate to see Davis go, but isnt he really a cap trade? Isn't his trade an actual example of the implications of all of the dead money and big contracts? In other words, are we blaming Licht, Brady, Evans, Mayfield etc?

IMO, it’s a multitude of things. Man corner who’s predominantly playing zone. Cap issues. Injury issues. Lack of turnovers.

There are times when he schemes to his player’s strengths. And, that’s when you see an elite defense.

I just meant that if he was set to get $1 million this year he’s probably still on the team. They maybe trade our other corner.
