Thread to keep track of all the moving parts.

Atlanta just announced they've named Matt Ryan as their President of Football.

Scheelhaase with an interview request for the HC gig in Cleveland.

Obviously part of the cycle, but him getting HC shots doesn't bode well for us.

If LeFluer gets the axe, the Falcons are a pretty good landing spot for him.

Probably due to the MkVay & Coen proximity, he’s the one that has some interest for me. SR has referenced his one year of playcalling at Iowa State. Hate hearing this, good for him. Would have liked to have seen Bucs interview.

Agree, so many open HC jobs, only so many will have HC experience, some of these jobs will go to the best coordinators. Probably why we’re interviewing so many obscure names.

I’ve pretty much given up on seeing a legit OC making a lateral move if they can land a HC job. It’ll be the last man standing in a musical chair game - then you have to wonder why he’d still be available.

Keeping Bowles makes this all more complicated.

Tampa would be even better

not sure I can take our team seriously if they don’t pursue him as head coach then pursue the fuckin cardinals qb coach as coordinator

Agreed.

There's no incentive to work for him if you're able to get a HC gig now.

Agreed.

But, even if he were to become available, the Glazers seem pretty content to settle with dog shit.

Sheelhaase interviewing with Pittsburgh for their head coach vacancy.

Thats a bit of a jump…Rams pass game coordinator to HC candidate.

El Serpiente effect.

You can pretty much remove Sheelhaase from the list (unfortunately).

Scheelhasse is going to be given a sweetheart deal from another team so yeah no way you see him here in Tampa.  Bucs need to pivot to what is on the board quickly or else the teams with vacancies will start to gobble these coaches up when the HC hires for empty spots start to fill up.

Posted on another thread, but realized this was better suited to this thread.

Greg Auman said that Bucs will decide on a OC sometime next week.

When asked if additional interviews would be schedule after this weekends games, Greg said no more interviews are scheduled.

Also, McDaniel will interview with the Chargers sometime next week.

McDaniel won’t be able to make a decision next week unless the HC openings he interviewed for start to close up.

Or, he's decided that the OC job(s) is what he wants.

Long shot, but thats one explanation. Might want a break from HC, right HC fit not out there, keep family in Florida etc.  There are reasons he could choose Bucs, but again I would say long shot.

Currently.

I don’t see how they can hire an offensive coordinator by next week unless they’re just going to settle on Robinson or Kafka or someone else not in the top tier. McDaniel won’t be able to make a decision next week unless the HC openings he interviewed for start to close up.

Yep, I think we’ll all have to get comfortable with Robinson. At least that’s the letdown I anticipate.

The problem with Robinson is that he likes to use heavy shotgun formations.  Which might help with the passing game but the run game will be heavy with draws.

HUGE coaching spot opens in Buffalo with the firing of McDermott.

We just continue to fall down the list.
