If Evans hangs on to the ball, the BUCs win the preseason game, the numbers change a little, perhaps a little more swagger gets spread around as a result. Would that have changed how you felt about the game?Or is there that sense that the games will all be like this year 1,Regardless, that was a nice play by Evans, until he forgot (as a result of only playing three years of organized football most likely), to merely switch hands. Or at least learn to squeeze the ball in those mitts of his when it gets gritty...He should have switched hands. Bucs win 21-20.Who knows though. I'm not as down, because I saw the absolute domination of the first team defense up front. And that, when Verner and company get in the mix, is going to be a major upgrade to the defense, and things will get real tough on opposing offenses. The offense will slowly get better, not worse. But only, and ONLY if Lovie and Licht go out and bag a guard off the waiver wire, via a trade, or one of the guards suddenly gets polished real quick. Can't see that happening. It will be a nail biting season of batted passes, sacks, INTs, forced fumbles, low scoring games that make you pull your hair out when you realize Lovie is suddenly making the calls, and going ultra conservative. The kind of conservative that will remind you of Olson, when he decided to give Carnell three straight handoffs inside scoring range, to simply drain clock against Detroit. And he couldn't get it because Carnell wasn't that good to begin with mostly (injuries), and everyone knew it was coming. So telegraphed. That game pissed me off. That is what I'm afraid Lovie will do. And it will drive you crazy.
