I understand that people love to hate on Goldson and he may be overpaid at $8 million or so this year, but he is guaranteed half of that so cutting him would only save $4 million. Goldson did play much better in the 2nd half of the year. When you look at the free agent market, I don't see any guys that you could bring in for that $4 million this season and expect more from. And unless we are going to use a premium draft pick at Safety, which I doubt, you're probably not going to draft Goldson's immediate replacement.
