Welcome, fellow Californian.Well on offense we live and die by the deep ball. We're plagued with injuries and our only real threat is Vincent Jackson. You can expect Glennon to throw him a jump ball whenever he draws a one on one. We struggle to move capable D Lines and it's bites us when we try to assert a running game without any push.Defense is a different story. McCoy and David are All-Pro and Revis has improved throughout the season, playing a more heady and disciplined game. Running on us is difficult, but we often play too much zone. I still don't think Kaep can get through his progressions fast enough, but he's mobile enough for the Nines to score on us.I dont know if the score will be representative of the actual game, but I think it'll be a hard fought one. Nines should win should you prevent the deep ball and not allow any receiver to get hot, or Glennon for that matter. Glennon handles pressure well, but makes rookie decisions still.
ThanksOur secondary has been playing really well against the pass which I didn't expect seeing how we lost "the Hawk" Dashon Goldson but our rookie saftey Eric Reid has played smart ball and hasnt allowed many WR to get a step on him. I love what Vincent Jackson brings to the table. I really wanted the 9ers to make a push for him when he was a free agent.I like the Bucs defense. I think within the next year or two they will be a top 5 defense. I love your secondary and defensive front 7. If you guys can get the offensive side of the ball to be more efficient the Bucs could be a scary good team. I was not a fan of Glennon coming out but I got to give him his props. Since stepping in for Josh Freeman. Hopefully he makes rookie mistakes against us because we HAVE to win this game to keep pace in the tough NFC. Who do you see matching up with Vernon Davis? I expect him to have a big game against the cover two.
We don't play much cover to anymore if at all. We play some zone and man concepts with a a lot of stunting with our dline and lbs. Look for kap to have alldday to throw if your oline comes to play. Vernon most likely will be played with mark Barron are safety covering him and the hawk we like to have our safeties cover tes a lot. They're good safeties who will light ppl up but are also prone to coverage lapses.
I love Barron. Im a big Bama fan and figured he would be a stud at the next level. With that said I dont think there is a S in the NFL that can cover Vernon.

Exactly why well probably zone up on him and have one man under and over the top on most plays with him. Might even see revis on him from time to time if he splits wide. I wouldn't be surprised. Mark Barron imo has played really well most of the year tho. Maybe better then the hawk. He just needs to make more impact plays like ints ffs and hell become a pro bowl player.

All solid points. It can really be anyone. Everyone we throw at him will be at a disadvantage but we definitely won't throw just one person out there, especially now that Crabtree is back (which forces us to move Revis around, rather than plant him against Vernon like we used to do with Ronde Barber). I expect a lot of free releases and zones underneath because of Frank Gore. David will be on him quite a bit, but expect a big day from Vernon.
Bad match up. The 9ers defense will rip the bucs offense to shreds.27-10
Honestly, I think you'll see a mix of Revis and Barron on Davis. We tend to put Revis on those star TE's a lot I've noticed. He shut down Tony Gonzo twice!
I think if we put up a good fight, SF escapes with a 3 point win. If we dont come out of the gates good, we could be looking at another Carolina type of blowout.

See if you double up on Vernon that leaves Crabs,Boldin or Manninham 1 on 1. I can't wait to see who your coaches deciede on that aspect of the game. Vernon is probably our biggest threat in the passing game so I expect him to see a lot of double coverage which would bold well for Boldin or Crabtree. Honestly I expect the Bucs defense to be MUCH better than they are this season. I'm not selling them short but you guys are loaded on defense.
You'll know the name Lavonte David. So should everyone.
I'll definetly keep an eye out for him! Not gonna lie I haven't heard much about him.
He's better than anyone you have, period. Just be glad he doesn't play QB as well.
actually the 49ers have two lbs that are arguably better. David is good but he isn't Tiger Woods.

You are flat out wrong. As a bucs fan there is honestly not a defensive player I would even consider trading for David. Future HOFer and IMO, Willis is an all star, but David is more youthful and less beat up. Brooks is also great, but he doesn't make as many splash plays as David
My take:Close close game, the 9ers offense has struggled a bit against top D's, and lord knows our Offense is only good for 2 quarters. Expect the Bucs to take an early lead through half time...then let it dwindle away and if the 9ers can take the lead late they will hold it for the win.The X factor for San Fran will be Kap scrambling. Newton killed us, and if we can't contain him we will be in trouble. Players to watch: OLB David- is a future HOF player, and I agree that there isn't a defensive player I would trade him for....maybe Watt...TE Wright- converted WR who spent the offseason on the 2nd team with Glennon so they have chemistry. He has become the #2 target after Jackson.DT McCoy- this is a given, arguably the best DT in the game.CB Banks - you know Revis, but Banks is putting together a solid rookie season, he is getting better every week, and held Megatron to 5 catches for 45 yards in half a game. He is not a burner but a big lanky physical guy. My guess is a heavy dose of blitzes early from the back 7. We love sending LB's, corners and safeties. Just a note, 5 picks on stafford a few weeks ago, and 7 sacks last week. The D can dominate if they get in a roll.
I've kept my excitement over how well Banks has played pretty well contained lately lol I'm excited at the Banks/Revis combo for years to come. You gotta love the kids fight, he's been burned and burned and burned some more, but he hasn't let it get to him, his game has improved a LOT and I think the Lions game was the turning corner (pun intended lol) for Banks. He gained mad confidence holding CJ to 5/45 and no scores in a half. He was covering a machine, NOONE can make Megatron look human, but Banks did....very impressive!

I have watched every 9er game and Brooks Is an impact player. Big time and Willis is where we can only hope David gets to. Elite. As for the game, I am expecting a defensive dominated game. Ultimately it comes down to QB play and coaching. Huge advantage to the 9ers there. Harbaugh is the best coach in football and Schiano is on the other end of the spectrum. I expect to see the 9ers take advantage of our defense schematically, exploiting the break downs and I expect to see Glennon under heavy pressure all day. 9ers 27Bucs 16

Am I missing something? Is Lavonte David not elite or something? I challenge your loyaly to this team, I do not believe you are a fan, sir

The 49ers are only favored by 5.
