1. Arians is delegating more now. Fine. Not calling plays himself is less a big deal than many think. He has, and will continue to work with Leftwich during the week on plays to use, when to use them, et al, but on game day, he’ll give the keys to Leftwich. Less stress will keep him around longer.
Leftwich jumped into the Mike McCoy-generated fire in Arizona mid-season and improved their anemic offense, using McCoy’s plays. IMO, as a former QB with similar build and style he will ‘relate’ with Winston better, but that’s really a wait and see to see how Winston takes his coaching. No reason to not be optimistic. If Arians likes Leftwich in that role, I’ll roll with it...

2. I love the Todd Bowles get. A proven stud at DC. His defense in the desert was feared NFL-wide.

3. And Arians said he will have more coaches than most teams, and he will be coaching them up as well as the players. Why more coaches? Because during game week he wants the regular set of coaches working with the guys who will be playing, and another group working with the younger players who won’t be playing. He expects these younger guys to get better, and to ensure that, they need hands-on coaching just like regulars do.
Good!
