Aaron Donald is a DT for Pittsburgh. He is currently ranked as the 4th best DT and projected as a 2nd round pick. I think that is only because he is 6ft 285lbs. To me, he is clearly the best DT in this draft and I think he is a top 10 pick. I think for the Bucs, we are best served going D-line in FA and sticking to offense in this draft....but I can't help but love this kid and wouldn't mind at all if we drafted him. He could probably pay DE, but I think he is best inside. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nhhHarEAohQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lJ-2Hg1L0n8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_SUK7gVFleY Highlights - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u3YKvx6LcBs
Agreed, really like this kid and hope he's around at our second pick but I wouldn't be surprised if he shoots up the boards into the late first.
I'm a fan of Donald's as well. I think some team will get him in the mid/late first.
hes a great player and just undersized. if he was 6'2 hed be a top 10 pick. somebody will get a great player at a bargain
Sounds like someone fitted to be a 3 techNot sure if the Bucs need one of those

no because he wouldn't play over McCoy but hed be worth a pick if he was somehow there in the 3rd. guarantee he wouldn't be though
I think people get too caught up in labels. He's a great all around DT. Outstanding vs the run and thrives at pass rushing. I think he would be great whether he is to the left or the right of GMAC.I'm not bashing Spence either. I actually really like Spence. I just think Donald is a great prospect. I'd hate to see him be another Geno Adkins that we could of drafted.
the problem with Donald is his size. 6ft 285 limits him to 3 tech in a 4-3 or 3-4 DE. I just don't think hes got the size to anchor against 330lb guards and take on double teams as a NTif he gains more weight hes going to end up sloppy like Will Sutton was this year. both of those guys need to play 3 Tech at around 290 and they will have great careers
The DTs arent that great this year. I agree that Donald is the best DT and also that kid from the Gators is pretty good and definitely very versatile. Ive watched him play well at both DE and DT but I forget his name.
im of the opinion that if we take a DT this year it needs to be another mid round guy like Spence who has good upside and can replace a guy like Gary Gibson or Derek Landri and develop into a potential starter. I want guys that can be depth upgrades and step in

Easley. That guy is a beast. I would pick Easley or Donald in the second round IF the top 3 TEs are gone, Odell Beckham is gone, and none of the QBs slip that low.3 good DTs wouldn't be a bad thing.

Dominique EasleyIm not sure what DTs you are looking at because there are a bunch of good ones this year. its a really good classTimmy JerniganLouis NixDominique EasleyRashede HagemanAaron DonaldDaquan JonesWill SuttonDan McCullersEgo FergusonAnthony Johnson (if he declares)Calvin Barnettthat's a lot of really good DTs and id take any of them on this team
Akeem Spence is the same height and only 20lbs heavier. Nobody has a problem with him at nose. Michael Bennett is 275lbs and he plays at the NT spot on passing downs. He did it here and he does it in Seattle. I don't think we'll draft him anyways, but I just think size is a bit over rated. I think he could play around 295lbs and we have three guys that can effectively play either DT spot.

I like Easley but im not taking a chance on his knees. hes had 2 or 3 knee surgeries to this point in his career. weve already got several guys on the DL with knee problems and id rather not take that chanceI agree that we NEED to have 3 good DTs and 3 good DEs. have 3 starting caliber guys at both those spots allows you toi rotate players without dropoff and keeps you safe against injuries

Akeem Spence is built like a NT and is strong as all hell.Donald's size shouldn't be a problem tho. That guy is unblockable for most of the game.
