Johnny Manziel is the benchmark of true speed now.
Have you not watched manziel play? You should check him out. He is pretty entertaining.Anyways, when a 285lbs defensive lineman has the same movement skills as a 200lbs QB that is known for his off the charts mobility.....it's kind of a big deal.
He'll be a Cleveland Brown at # 26.(puts crystal ball away)
Just look at JDub's sig GIF if you question his size
Truth. That is Cyril Richardson. He is a top guard that is projected as a 2nd round pick, but he is built like an OT. 6'5" 330lbs with 35" arms.....Donald owned him and every other OL at the senior bowl.
I see the same nonsensical excuses that have already been debunked. His arms are not short, they are 32 5/8" which is average for a DE, and his speed/quickness numbers match up to guys like Barr and Mack. The guys 10 yard and 40 yard times were identical to Johnny Manziel for gods sake. Give it a rest.
Lmao, so he's going to be an End huh? A team is going to draft him to play END? Shit you're delusional dog.

I think he might be drafted as a pass rusher that lines up at multiple spots. Crazy I know.Or he might just go to the Bears or Cowboys and be a full time UT. Either way I bet he kills it.
You do know that the schemes run by Schwartz and Smith are different right?
Sure, but do we really know what schemes we are gonna run? Do we run scheme based on personnel?

I pretty much guarantee he will kill it. He's a BALLER. He's an every down 3tech. Like McCoy and Atkins. He is going to be drafted to be the starting 3tech for some team. Not some situational pass rusher. He's an every down impact player.
Barr and Mack did not lineup as DE's in college yet people want to convert them to DE's In the Pros. Donald did play DE on multiple occasions in College yet he can't play DE in the NFL???? however if we did draft him i'd want him to play the DT position.
He is an absolute baller and I bet that he becomes one of the better DTs in the NFL in a few years. Too bad (not really) that the Bucs already have arguably the best 3tech in the league. There is NO spot for Donald on this team. Pass.
how did Detroit find room for Fairleyon their team?
Donald is quick and all that but he has nowhere near the size/arm length to hold up as a 1 or 2i getting double teamed often. He would be a waste if he isn't drafted to play 3tech and that spot is taken in Tampa.
Voice of reason.
Jernigan has shorter arms than Donald, isn't significantly bigger, and yet is held up by just about everybody as ideal as a Tampa-2 1-tech.
I hear ya... a little concerned in taking a guy at 7 that we have to change him up.Hell, Barr was playing Offense 2 years ago...If I had to choose though - probably would go with Barr (only because of his higher ceiling and larger frame) Would work well as an RDE.

Barr played with his hand on the ground a lot and he also played both 1 gap and 2 gap. He's played the DE role, without having been labeled a DE. Can't speak for Mack as I didn't watch him much but just adding my 2 cents on Barr.
I do agree with everybody that his ideal spot is a 3-tech, but I do wonder a bit about him playing NT. It seems to me that if there's any defense that's made for a NT to be undersized and quick, it's the Tampa-2. We've had guys like Culpepper, Booger, and Darby there after all. I'd also add that we've taken a guy with similar basic attributes to Donald early (15) before at a time when we had the greatest 3-tech in recent memory. I'm not sure he's the right player at #7, but I don't see why he wouldn't be a possible player somewhere in the first round for the Bucs.
The guy has the base of a pyramid. He is a beast. His thighs are massive. His speed is ridiculous. His strength and leverage is beyond functional. It is an advantage. I love the prospect. I think he is going to be a dominant force in the league. Where an you line him up as a Buc?To be honest, I think he COULD play spot duty end, but as a full time gig?And he would be a good NT, IMO. Just a wasted one. But what a nice problem to have, wouldn't it?But I can't see it happening. If the Bucs could move into the top 15 AGAIN, I wouldn't mind layering the DTs like that. We can all admit the guy looks very disruptive.

Lol. In three sentences you went from not wanting to draft a guy early that has to change posotions.....to wanting Barr, who was a RB, then a LB, and if we drafted him he'd be a DE. :P Kinda funny.
