All we have are gut feelings fight now. And I like the kid. But hey....
Right now
I think in 13 days when free agency starts we will really be able to grasp what direction they are going in the draft. Hopefully there will be some restructuring of contracts soon as well. Until then theres always spring training baseball to be watched too ;)
. If the Bucs spend a first round pick on him, they're essentially saying it is worth giving up all that for guy who will only have a noticeable impact when it is a clear passing down. That is just absurd.
this is exactly what i am saying. up until the absurd part. he is in discussion for BPA, he plays probably the most important position on our defense, our starting DT has had many injuries and has shown to tire out in games, and he will as you say have a noticeable impact on passing downs - arguably the most important downs in football.
They both would be LBs here and edge rushers on passing downs ala Von Miller... What part of that is everybody missing?
that there has never been a von miller before? that im not sure our defense is similar? that neither of those guys have the athleticism of miller?
The thing that kills me. is that even though Donald and Barr had nearly identical numbers at the combine, except that Donald benched 35 reps compared to Barr's 15.....people would rather draft Barr. Barr is overhyped as hell. He was a RB until 2012 and he is raw. The production isn't there and his game tape isn't impressive
You're a liar . The production wasn't there ??In two seasons of playing defense Barr had 23.5 sacks and 10 forced fumbles . In 4 seasons of playing defense Donald had 29.5 sacks and 6 forced fumbles. In two less season seasons he pretty much matched Donald's "Production" ....which means he was getting better " production ". ( In a better conference , no less )An average of 12 sacks a season and 5 forced fumbles isn't production ?? Nice lie.As for combine numbers , 3 cone drill :Barr: 6.82Donald 7.11 Love how you mention the Bench , but not this , LOL . Nice try , dork .
Youngone, to base your entire drafting strategy off Von Miller is ridiculous. There has never been a player like him before in a 4-3 and none since. He is unique. There are guys like Barr and Mack every single year and none of them have ever had the effect of Von Miller. You accuse me of being ridiculous for thinking Donald can move over a spot and still be a great pass rusher at LDE or NT.....but your plan isn't even based in reality. Drafting a guy that you think will play Sam, not DE...at #7....is just horrible. There is no justification. Just say you misspoke and you think he'll be a great DE. At least that makes some sense.

I've posted all their numbers repeatedly. I'm not hiding anything. Nice try troll.
Khalil Mack 6'3" 251lbs 40 time - 4.65 10 yard split - 1.56 bench reps - 23 arm length - 33 1/4" 3 cone - 7.08Anthony Barr 6'5" 255lbs 40 time - 4.66 10 yard split - 1.56 bench reps - 15 arm length - 33 1/2" 3 cone - 6.82Aaron Donald 6'1" 285lbs 40 time - 4.68 10 yard split - 1.59 bench reps - 35 arm length - 32 5/8" 3 cone - 7.11
The only reason there has never been a player like him in the 4-3 is because 3-4 teams have these guys rated higher on their board and therefore they all end up on 3-4 teams. If you want to tell me we couldn't bring Clay Matthews here tomorrow and greatly improve our pass rush and defense in general , I can't help your dumb ass.

That's why you mentioned ONLY the bench , and claimed their numbers were all the same otherwise ?? LOL....yeah you are being totally unbiased in this Mancrush argument you are presenting. You does this kind of thing all the time .You're a dishonest joke.

Clay matthews would most certainly improve our pass rush....as a DE....not a Sam.

All their movement drill numbers were very similar despite the 30lbs weight difference. The only huge difference was the bench press....hence my post. Sorry you can't follow along little buddy.

So there won't be another guy that can play stand up LB and be a great edge rusher? That's not reality? You sure?Mayock says Mack can do those things but what does he know right?

We were talking about Barr...now you are trying to change the topic to Mack. Make up your mind. And please, show me a link where Mayock says Mack can be a 4-3 Sam linebacker. I'd love to see that.I don't want Mack at 7, but if we do take him he is a DE. There is no debate.

Mack is the guy I want the most.. That's why. http://www.tddaily.com/news/mike-mayock-says-he-would-draft-buffalo-lb-khalil-mack-no-1-overall/ Take a look.
