I love Donald. In my mock draft we traded back to no.13 and scored Donald and a 2nd + 6th as well. I cant think of a better scenario than walking away with Donald And 2 extra picks ... it is borderline raping someone.Unless I am reading things wrong the Rams are dealing the no.2 pick, giving them the ammo to move up from no.13 to grab someone they want.
I know we need a QB and QB is the most important position and I believe in Bortles and Manziel. Everything tells me that Bortles or Manziel is the right pick if we have a chance to get one......but I still would take Donald. Can't help it. He is just too freaking good. I'd take him at 7 without blinking, but if we could trade back and gain a pick and still get him....that would be even better. I wouldn't go back any further than 10 or 11 though. Everyone says the Bears at 14 or the Cowboys at 16, but the Giants are most likely taking a DT and they love their pass rushers. I can see them taking him at 12. I'd be stoked to get a 4th and a 6th....which would give us a pick in every round. I just wouldn't wanna go back more than 4 spots.

After watching these highlights, I feel the exact same way I felt after watching Lavonte David's highlights a couple of year back. He is all over the field, has great quickness and instincts and I what a perfect fit for the type of DL that we need in our defense
I'm going to be beyond pissed if there's a QB on the board and the Bucs take Donald. Sorry. I can guarantee Donald will be at least a very good player in the NFL and probably a Pro Bowler but I don't care. QB is the MOST important position in any sport by a mile. It's not even close.
Donald isn't even on anyone's radar in the top 7 outside about 3 people on this board. That pick will never happen.

It would be HORRIFIC value.
If he is what he seems he is that is not "horrific value" It's a steal at 7. The only question would be value vs a QB

If the team feels he is the BPA and can't trade down, then how is that horrific value?

Clowney, Mack, Robinson, Bortles, Manziel, Bridgewater, or Watkins will be there. I'd also be shocked if they don't have some good offers to trade down.
Clowney, Mack, Bortles, Robinson, and Watkins will likely be gone by 7. Manziel and Bridgewater are very polarizing QB's, and we don't know how the Bucs feel about them. This is the deepest draft ever, so teams aren't going to be lining up to give away picks making trading down harder than in past years. I'd be happy with any of the guys you mentioned or trading down, but it's not so far-fetched that Donald may be the pick when it's all said and done.

can you guarantee that any of the QBs with be very good and probable probowlers? i cant, but i do agree witih your take on donald.its probably insignificant, but Lovie was in tampa when the Bucs selected mcfarland with sapp on the roster.

You are absolutely right, you cannot guarantee any of the QBs will be even serviceable. It's hard to guarantee that with almost anyone ever. With that being said, if there is a QB on the board and the Bucs decide to take a frickin 3 tech when they already have McCoy, that would be a joke. I know BPA this and BPA that but that is always to an extent. Like I said, Donald will probably be great, but a franchise QB is something this franchise pretty much has never had.

It wouldn't be... if they did , they would just be horrific evaluators. He is not the 7th best player in this draft , no matter how you slice it or how big your man crush is.
He isn't worth the 7th pick cause the interwebs says so! Lol.Clowney, Robinson, Watkins, Mathews, Mack, Bridgewater, Manziel, Bortles, Barr.....I'll promise you that at least 4 of those 9 don't live up to expectations. Meanwhile Donald will be dominating and going to Pro Bowls every year. Horrific value? What a joke. Some folks are way too reliant on internet rankings and can't just use their eyes and common sense. Donald is a fruggin beast and would be great value no matter where he is selected because he is an elite pass rusher. Period.
The only question would be value vs a QB
Yup!!
