I wouldn't be disappointed is the Bucs chose Donald in the first round.....The kid is special....
The Price pick would have been good if he wasnt so lazy and had a bad attitude. He's out of football already what does that tell you?
He was no angel, but he had multiple deaths in his family during his rookie year and I think that contributed to his bad mood. That isn't the reason he is out of the NFL though. He isn't playing because he had a serious fracture in his pelvis/hip. I remember reading that no NFL player had ever had that particular problem before, so it's not surprise he couldn't come back. Can't really blame Price. Blame Dom and our scouts for not knowing about the pre existing hip condition. If you google Brian Price xray you can see hi jacked up pelvis held together by 4 large bolts. It's really jacked. Here is a link ti an article about his surgeries. http://articles.latimes.com/2011/sep/14/sports/la-sp-farmer-brian-price-20110915 And is here is an old PR thread about Price. Filled with Red Board hilarity. Plus you can see old alternate accounts galore. J-Dog, and Java Ray are Java....who is now Lucky Larry. BucFanOcala1 and BucfanHudson were Doloris...congratulating himself on "winning". Chief Joseph was Illumlinator...who is now Bucfucious. Even Morgan is there deleting his posts.....wonder who Morgan is now. https://www.pewterreport.com/Boards/index.php/topic,1278990.45.html
Lol...Gimpy Cheeseburger was a bad pick no matter what. An upper echelon edge rusher was sitting there in Carlos Dunlap and we passed for a sorry ass nose guard. He could have stayed 100% healthy and never had near the impact on our pass rush as Dunlap. Stupid pick from the get go.
...and Jduds paranoia is hilarious. I have no alternate accounts . I've always used this one.Bwahahaha...I've got this dweeb seeing ghosts.
Eric Galko ?@OptimumScouting 1mDon't quite know where, but hunch is Aaron Donald doesn't leave top-10
Been saying that since January.
Or not ....
I'm a fan of Donald's as well. I think some team will get him in the mid/late first.
Buggsy the Scarecrow loses.
While not my first choice, if I were to bet on who the Bucs took at 7, I think I'd put my money on Donald.
BPA or need at 7? What do we need and who would be the best player left at 7? A lot of the mocks are plugging in 2nd and 3rd WR guys at 7 in the fear that Evans or Watkins will be gone, actually this crap is starting to get comical. We need a lot of things at 7. If your philosophy is BPA, and you think Donald is that guy left at 7, but we don't need a 3 tech or anyone on the line (you don't want another), so what do you do then? I think the discussion of ransom picks should start coming into play, I think its possible we could benefit from that the most.
Detroit is shopping either/or of their pass rushing DT's. They realize that having two really doesn't do much because one is always doubled anyways. They now know they'd be better off adding resources elsewhere. Idiots like Jdud apparently need to learn this the hard way ...even after the Booger and Price experiments failed they come back for more , lol
Lions were 23rd in pass defense and now shopping both their tackles . That lets you know how that little experiment worked out. That #7 pick better served on an impact position.
how about the panthers? Did they learn the hard way when they drafted DTs in the first and second last year?

+1 it really matters WHO you choose to carry out your 2 pass rushing DT strategy. And McCoy/Donald would be even sicker than Lotulelei/Short, so imagine that.
Kwann Short finished with a measely 30 tackles and 1 sack.Huge impact there...or not.

I know this isn't directed at me, but I have no problem with a 2nd round DT if he's a significant value. I had no problem with the principle behind the Price pick in 2010.
In a vacuum , sure FRG.But would you pick another DT after you already picked your 3 tech in round 1 , still have a huge hole at DE , and Carlos Dunlap is on the board ?
The Price pick was primarily a problem in not properly evaluating his personal problems nor his injury problems. If we got 5 games per year the way he played against the Falcons in the beginning of 2011 no one would have been upset about picking two DTs.
Yes we would , because he was never going to make a major impact playing nose. Its simply not a position conducive to playmaking.
Did you watch the first game against the Falcons in 2011?
