Did you watch the first game against the Falcons in 2011?

I was at that game, I remember Josh Freeman snuck one in for a TD, got up and started doing the dirty bird taunt...... man that seems like it was ages ago -- If you would have asked me back then, I would've said there is no way Williams, Freeman, and Blount would have been on their 2nd, 3rd, and 4th teams just a couple of years later..... what a shame :/

Though I like Donald, he a 3 technique guy and we already have that in McCoy....Drafting a Nose Tackle in the later rounds makes more sense.....Ra'Shede Hageman, DT, MinnesotaLouis Nix, DT, Notre Dame Justin Ellis, DT, Louisiana TechDaQuan Jones, DT, Penn State Daniel McCullers, DT, Tennessee DeAndre Coleman, DE/DT, California Legitimate NTs with the size and strength to play opposite of McCoy....Donald and McCoy would make a horrible combo...they're both alike...

Nonsense . We need to go offense early and often in this draft.

It really only matters what a handful of people think.  If Lovie and Licht agree that Donald is something special and is head and shoulders above any other prospect available, he'll be the pick.  If there's truly a QB they have graded equally then they should go with that.  I would have a hard time passing on someone I believe is an elite pass rusher for a WR (or any other position), no matter how great the need was.

Booger McFarland was a natural 3-technique as well. That was the whole point of drafting McCoy and Price in the same draft....obviously Price didn't pan out.

Neither did Booger. Our Superbowl year Booger went down and we replaced him with Chartic Darby...didnt miss a beat. That is not an important position in this D. Much like Sam LB .  We need to spend our most valuable picks on playmaking positions. Take off the Mancrush glasses and you all will see that I'm right.

Yeah but Booger was a good player for several years for us. I remember offensive coordinators talking about how they couldn't tell the difference between him and Sapp coming off the ball at times. He was obviously nowhere near a Sapp, but he had an impact on the field. Same with Brad Culpepper. You are probably right that it isn't and shouldn't be a priority, but the right guy at that spot could definitely be an asset.

You are always so sure of yourself DJ..... but the only way were going to see who is truly right is to wait for the players to pan out or bust.
