Evans is an OPI machine and next year that will be called... and he will be the 3rd best WR from this deep WR draft. Just because the homerness in you won't allow you to see it...
Coming from the guy who trashed Evans all season long and said his stats were meaningless. But, by all means, continue to show your stupidity...
Evans is a good receiver, he is just the 3rd best to come out of this draft, no shame in that, right?

You do realize the difference between Eli, Cam and McCown right?
Yes, and Evans is still the 3rd best receiver out of this group......

And so it is written....
IMO the debate between Evans and Donald actually comes down to how ASJ turns out. We could have taken Donald in the first and Jordan Matthews in the 2nd and kept Wright. From a "best for the team" point of view that would have been better overall unless ASJ improves dramatically.

And you're wrong, no matter how many times you type it...

This is how I have felt from day one. Not just Jordan Mathews in particular, but that draft had soooo much great talent at the wide receiver position overall, I felt like we didn't need to go WR in the 1st round. That said....Evans was beast mode as a rookie. Hopefully he stays out of trouble and ends up being great long term, but to argue about rankings from this year's rookie receiver crop at this point is a waste of time. Year one there was OBJ and then everyone else, but an NFL career is a marathon, not a sprint. Time will tell. All we know right now is OBJ, Brandin Cooks, Jarvis Landry, Kelvin Benjamin, Mike Evans, Jordan Mathews, Sammy Watkins, Allen Hurns, Donte Moncrief, John Brown, Allen Robinson, and Davante Adams all looked great as rookies and there were another dozen receivers that looked very promising in limited action too. 2014 might have been the best WR draft in a generation.

No doubt that OBJ is better at this point. It's probably a little close between Benjamin and Evans. I'd give the slight nod to Evans because a lot of Benjamin's stats were padded in garbage time.

Do you have numbers to back that up? Benjamin had 115 yards in a blowout loss to the Steelers, but after that his biggest games were 109 yards in a 2-point loss to the Falcons, 104 yards in a victory over the Bucs, 94 yards in a 4-point loss to Seattle, and 92 yards in a victory against the Bucs. If anything, I'd say the biggest strike against him is two of his five biggest games came against the Bucs.

I'd say that's the equivalent of 60 minutes against garbage :)

Yes, as far as TDs go.Vs. Pitt. - Down 37-13 with less than 4 minutes to go in the 4th, Benjamin caught a TD pass. Vs. GB. - Down 38-3 with less than 10 minutes to go in the 4th, Benjamin caught a TD pass.Vs. Phi. - Down 45-7 with less than 10 minutes to go in the 4th, Benjamin caught a TD pass.Vs. Phi. - Down 45-14 with less than 6 minutes to go in the 4th, Benjamin caught a TD pass.44% of his TDs came in garbage time.
Eh big deal. Touchdowns are fluky and can vary a lot year to year. Some years a receiver may get 5, other years he may get 10-15 with comparable yards.
This wasn't some years though. This was this year. Mike Evans had a slightly better year than Benjamin. He did so with worse QBing and in one less game. Nod goes to Evans behind OBJ.

That's fine. I haven't argued Benjamin was better. I was just wondering about your garbage numbers argument.
